Chase and Status ‘couldn’t be more proud’ after they were unveiled as the recipients of the Producer of the Year BRIT Award for 2024.
The drum and bass duo – comprising Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) – were previously confirmed to be collaborating with singer Becky Hill on a ‘celebration’ of the genre at the ceremony on Saturday.
Ahead of the BRITs, where they are also in contention for Group of the Year, it’s been announced that the pair will also receive the special prize in recognition of their contributions to dance music.
The duo said: ‘We couldn’t be more proud – we’ve been flying the flag for British music now for a long time, we’re super proud of all the music that has come out of the UK.
‘As producers, and as a creative duo, I think we are probably in one of the best places we’ve been.’
