Married At First Sight fans have accused Luke Worley of ‘gaslighting’ Jay Howard as they confronted their difficulties during Thursday’s reunion.
Jay, 31, and Luke, 30, shocked viewers during Wednesday’s reunion dinner party when they arrived separately and said they had decided they’d just be ‘friends’.
During Thursday’s final episode, the exes caught up with the experts about their journey, with Jay confessing that she still had feelings for Luke.
However, Luke admitted he was ‘done’ and said he wouldn’t ‘change’ for anyone after expert Paul Brunson urged him to ‘change’ for the better for his partner.
Viewers accused Luke of ‘gaslighting’ Jay by arguing that he had been ‘attentive’, despite her objections that he wasn’t, and argued that she ‘deserved better’.

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – one wrote: ‘For the first time, after all these weeks of watching this show, I AM ABSOLUTELY FUMING!!!! Luke is such a ****.’
Another said: ‘Luke is a liar lol it’s written all over his face. A text back is not ‘changing yourself’,’ a third tweeted: ‘The way Luke is gaslighting Jay is making me sick to my stomach.’
A fourth commented: ‘Luke’s had an absolute nightmare ! He’s got a fantastic girl in Jay and threw it away,’ another said: ‘Oh Jay, she deserves so much better!’
And a fifth added: ‘An awful lot of gaslighting from Luke here. How the experts have allowed this is beyond me.’
While speaking to experts Paul, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas, Jay and Luke spoke about what had gone wrong after they left the experiment after Luke was ejected for a physical fight with Jordan.
Luke said: ‘The turning point, if I’m honest, was when Jay went back to work. She sent me a text saying, I wasn’t showing her enough affection, I wasn’t texting her enough, I wasn’t being attentive enough.’
Jay argued that she wanted him to communicate with him more, but Luke insisted he had been ‘more attentive’ than he ever had before.

Jay said: ‘I’m not asking for blood, I’m asking for bare minimum, just back and forth communication.’
She then claimed that she asked Luke whether he wanted a ‘future’ with her and wanted to be with her, claiming he had never told her that.
However, Luke hit back and argued that he had said that, saying: ‘How many times have I said ‘I want to be with you?’ loads of times,’ but Jay insisted that he hadn’t.
Luke then spoke about how Jay had ended things because she didn’t think it was working, but she tearfully said how she told him that she immediately changed her mind as she appeared to want to make things work.
When asked why they broke up, Luke said it was due to ‘distance’, but Paul slammed his answer and insisted there are always ways to solve long distance.
He fumed: ‘I always call BS on distance. I bet you that [Paul] would crawl over broken glass, because that’s what you do. Excuse, excuse, excuse. Give us the why.’
The other couples then got involved with the row as they told Luke that Jay was ‘in love’ with him and urged him to try and make it work with her.

Rozz Darlington said: ‘She’s obviously in love with you, and she doesn’t know where it’s at.’
While Ella Morgan added: ‘We’re gutted for you because I felt like there was no fight from you.’
Jay then said she didn’t think Luke liked her as much as she liked him, to which he hit back with: ‘100 per cent not. I actually thought that I was into her more than she was into me… when she ended it I was like was she ever into me?’
Luke was then asked by the experts if he was willing to work on things with Jay, but he said: ‘No, I’m done now.’
Jay broke down in tears as she dejectedly said: ‘There you go.’
Luke said: ‘It’s not going to work because I can’t change how I am, I’m not that sort of guy.’
But Paul asked him: ‘The question is – do you want to change?’, to which Luke said: ‘I’ll be honest, I ain’t changing for no-one.’
A tearful Jay then said: ‘There’s no fight in you, there’s never been any fight in you. I’m not chasing someone that doesn’t want to be chased, it’s f**king embarrassing.’
Speaking to camera, Jay said after the emotional scenes: ‘It’s just sad, you think that you – yeah – it’s just sad because I know I’m not going to see him again.’

After being ejected from MAFS UK for a physical fight with Jordan, Luke further angered Channel 4 bosses by posting threatening messages towards his rival on social media.
He was also reprimanded for speaking about his experiences on a celebrity podcast despite cast members being under strict instructions not to reveal show secrets.
MailOnline revealed that Luke was told that he wasn’t welcome to take part in the six-months-on special, which was filmed in a secret location in East Sussex earlier this month, while Jay was allowed to join the rest of the cast.
A source told MailOnline: ‘Luke’s relationship with Channel 4 has deteriorated since his axing was aired.
‘Not only did he come to blows with Jordan but he’s also used threatening language towards him on social media, which of course the channel deems unacceptable.
‘Luke has spoken out about his experiences filming the show and no doubt will do so again… the trust between him and Channel 4 has been lost.
‘He doesn’t feel great knowing that the majority of the cast are filming the special and his invite was well and truly retracted but they feel that right now his attitude is too difficult to manage.’
Luke was axed from the series after banging on the door of Jordan’s apartment where he lived with wife Erica Roberts and starting a fight with his co-star.
Luke was furious after discovering that Jordan had spoken badly about him to his wife Jay, claiming that he would be likely to cheat on her if he could get away with it.

Following weeks of tension, Luke saw red and swung for Jordan, who has spoken about his past trauma with domestic violence.
As a result of his aggressive behaviour, Luke was removed from the programme with Channel 4, who have a ‘zero-tolerance policy towards violence’, saying his actions were unacceptable.
Posting on Instagram at the end of October, Luke used the hash tag ‘chat s***, get banged’ in reference to his fight with Jordan, claiming in a post: ‘If you upset my wife, you will know about it.’
In a statement to MailOnline, Channel 4 said: ‘We do not condone any form of violence, or aggressive language, and have raised the matter with the cast member concerned.’
