The Celebrity Traitors fans have predicted that host will introduce a surprise twist after spotting a huge clue in the lineup. 

On Saturday, the announced the latest stars taking part in the upcoming second season of the hit show, which will start filming next week. 

And now, fans are speculating what new twists and turns might pop-up during the new season, which will air in the autumn. 

As 21 celebrities were announced to be taking part in The Celebrity Traitors, fans spotted that the UK civilian series always has 22 contestants. 

One fan speculated on : 'Only 21 cast members, a secret 22nd or a late drop-out?'

Others penned: 'I could see them bringing an early out from season 1 back as a surprise cast member like Paloma or Tom;

On Saturday, the BBC announced the latest stars taking part in the upcoming second season of the hit show, which will start filming next week; pictured Love Island host Maya Jama 

'Danny Dyer was extremely heavily rumoured for this so it'd be funny if in Episode 2 he just gets thrown in like a grenade;

'This still gives me hope for Bob Mortimer; There's a surprise one for sure because there's a blank sign in the promo vid.'   

The UK civilian series always has 22 participants, but the first celebrity version of the show last year only had 19.

21 celebrities will be heading to Ardross Castle including Michael Sheen, Ross Kemp, Hannah Fry, Joanna McNally, Amol Rajan, James Acaster and Richard E. Grant.

They will be joined by Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh and King Kenny.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock is also on the line-up alongside Maya Jama, Miranda Hart, Myha'la, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney.

Set in airport arrivals, the trailer shows a line of actors standing with the iconic roundtable chalk boards revealing the names.

In the BBC's announcement clip, people were seen holding signs at an airport with each of the celebrities names on them. 

But in a hilarious nod to the show, many of the stars' names were spelt wrong, such as 'Rob Bucket', 'Miranda Heart' and 'Richardy Grant'. 

Elsewhere one of the people holding a board had his the wrong way round - something the contestants often do during roundtables.

The Celebrity Traitors series two cast was officially revealed on Saturday morning as the BBC dropped the first teaser trailer 

Sharing the clip on Instagram on Saturday, the BBC wrote: 'Host Claudia Winkleman will welcome an eclectic mix of people and personalities ranging from BAFTA and BRIT award winners through to social media stars. 

'Plus some of the UK's most cherished actors, comedians, presenters and beyond as the celebrities question who they can and can't really trust, figure out who deserves to be banished and try to discover which of them is plotting murder under the cover of darkness.' 

Eleven million viewers watched last year as the treacherous funnyman Alan Carr, 49, beat faithfuls Joe Marler, 35, Nick Mohammed, 45, and David Olusoga, 55, to claim the £87,500 prize pot for charity.
