Where is Dancing On Ice filmed?
Dancing on Ice has been filmed at a purpose-built rink at Bovingdon Airfield near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, since it returned in 2018.
Before that it took a three-year hiatus, and had previously used the George Lucas Stage at Elstree Studios – roughly a half-hour drive away.
The move was reportedly partly to ensure that show bosses had control over the look of the show, including the key element – its ice rink.
There is also a training rink off-set.
In 2022, Patsy Palmer shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the studio while it was being constructed for the following year’s series.
The soap star was the first to set blade on the ice in training with her professional partner Matt Evers.

What has been filmed at Bovingdon Airfield?
Perhaps most notably, the ITV show’s new home was a filming location for part of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
It was used for elements of a chase scene which followed the title character and Hagrid as they weaved in and out of vehicles on a motorbike – with Daniel Radcliffe stowed in the sidecar.
The airfield was also used in the creation of The Lord Of The Rings: Ring Of Power, Bohemian Rhapsody, 1917 and many more.
The location’s studios themselves have also been home to The Masked Singer – also on ITV.
