Enrique Iglesias has reportedly sold his music catalog to the music rights platform, Influence Media Partners, for ‘nine figures.’
The partnership with the 48-year-old Spanish singer, who recently announced his retirement from recording albums after an extraordinary career in music, includes his ‘name, image, and likeness’ as well as ‘future licensing opportunities.’
According to Variety, the deal ‘includes his masters released by Universal and independents but not his 2021 Sony album or future releases.’
‘My songs hold immense significance for both my fans and me. I’m excited to be working with the Influence Media team. I feel confident we will build an enduring partnership for my music and future projects,’ the father-of-three said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Influence Media Founder and Co-Managing Partner Lylette Pizarro called the performer ‘a global icon’ and him joining the ‘Influence Media family’ as a ‘game-changing moment’ for her company.

‘For a quarter of a century, he has captivated fans globally with chart-topping and record-breaking hits. From Experiencia Religiosa to Hero and Bailando to I Like It and Be With You, there are few artists who come close to accomplishing what Enrique has achieved commercially,’ she raved.
Pizarro also noted that the Grammy winner has ‘played a pivotal role in introducing bilingual music to the masses’ and is ‘the most recognizable figures in modern music.’
DailyMail.com has reached out to Iglesias’ representatives, but has not heard back, at this time.
The sale comes after Enrique, 48, was mercilessly mocked after awkward footage of him performing, last month spread across social media like wildfire.
While reacting to videos of him singing, fans compared the iconic musician to Kermit the Frog and speculated his voice technology had failed.
The artist has been traveling the country with fellow musical icons Ricky Martin and Pitbull as part of their Trilogy Tour, and the video captured him singing his popular love song Escape – but a version unlike fans have ever heard before.
‘Someone said Enrique Iglesias sounds like Kermit the Frog in this video and now I can’t unhear it,’ one person tweeted of video capturing the artist singing Hero.
Another joked the performance ‘cured’ her of her decades-long infatuation with the star: ‘I have officially been cured of my 20+ year crush on Enrique Iglesias.’
‘Is this an impersonator? What happened to Enrique Iglesias?’ one asked.
Big move: According to Variety, the deal ‘includes his masters released by Universal and independents but not his 2021 Sony album or future releases’ (seen in 2023)
‘My songs hold immense significance for both my fans and me. I’m excited to be working with the Influence Media team. I feel confident we will build an enduring partnership for my music and future projects,’ the father-of-three said in a statement
For one fan, the performance sounded more like amateur hour: ‘It’s giving karaoke night.’
‘He belongs on a cruise ship entertainment show.. on the last day of the trip.. as passengers are leaving the boat,’ she wrote.
‘omg I thought yout put some joke audio over the video,’ one TikTok user wrote.
‘I’m just gonna pretend that this is Enrique’s twin,’ another posted.
Enrique previously stated that he is no longer recording new music following the release of his upcoming 11th studio album.
With the focus now on Final (Vol 2) in recent months, when the second Final installment finally drops in February it will have come more than two years after its predecessor.
The Final volumes are reportedly the last the Hero star will release in the traditional album form.
