Emily Blunt and John Krasinski steal the spotlight with their affectionate display at the Critics Choice Awards 2024 in Los Angeles, following their viral Golden Globes chat.

Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski looked every inch the happy couple as they gazed adoringly at each other at the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California on Sunday evening.

While arriving to the ceremony, held at The Barker Hangar, the pair, who wed back in 2010, looked inseparable as they posed for photos with their arms wrapped around the other’s waist.

For the occasion, the Oppenheimer star, 40, stood out from the crowd in a one-shoulder red gown, covered in sequins, while her spouse, 44, cut a dapper figure in a beige suit with a black bowtie.

Their latest sighting comes after sparking a debate last Sunday, after social media sleuths tried to decipher what Krasinski said to his wife on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, with some believing he told her: ‘I can’t wait for a divorce.’

However, the couple ‘are absolutely not talking about divorce’ according to a source who spoke with Us Weekly.

‘There are no issues with Emily and John,’ the insider shared, adding, ‘They think the rumors are funny and ridiculous.’

Earlier this week, MailOnline’s expert lip reader shared what the couple really said to each other.

The expert shared that the pair appeared to note that photographers were ‘waiting for them.’

They explained that in the TikTok footage, Emily turned to John and said: ‘It’s a bit chilly John right,’ before he laughed and said: ‘They’re waiting for us.’

As Emily added: ‘Yeah,’ John said to someone off-camera: ‘You alright?’

The 10-second clip ended with Emily asking: ‘Should we…’

Forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman also confirmed to DailyMail.com that divorce wasn’t mentioned by the actor.

This seems a far calmer exchange than the wild theories being circulated by fans, who were divided over whether John made an innocuous remark about the weather or if he was joking about marital trouble.

‘I’ve watched this 500 times trying to convince myself he said something other than divorce,’ one TikTok user wrote while others pointed out that the couple of 14 years were more likely to making a remark about the chilly weather and John was saying: ‘I can’t wait to get indoors.’

One TikTok user commented: ‘Did he say I can’t wait to divorce? And she said hey and he stated I’m serious.’

Another ‘swears’ John said ‘divorce’ but wants him to be saying ‘get through this.’
