The Emmy Award-winner sported a grey t-shirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers for the outing.
Meanwhile Max, 38, rocked a white tee, dark jeans, black sunglasses and navy sneakers for the day.
The actor is directing the new film. The pair have worked together on the television series The Handmaid’s Tale since 2017.

On Tuesday Moss confirmed her pregnancy amid growing speculation.
The star – who showcased her baby bump on set earlier that day – appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with full bump in tow.
The 56-year-old chat show host got quick to the point as his first question was: ‘Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?’
Elisabeth responded: ‘A little bit of both.’
She opened up about her pregnancy journey as Jimmy asked her how she has been feeling.
The actress said: ‘Not bad, actually. I’ve been really lucky. It’s been going really well.’
As Elisabeth is private about her personal life, it is unknown who the father of the child is and her due date is yet to be revealed.
Earlier in the day the talented actress fueled more pregnancy rumors while on set of her new thriller Shell this week in LA, amid growing speculation that she is expecting her first child.
The actress looked comfy in a large pink bathrobe covering what appeared to be a bump, while getting her makeup done with her feet up in her slippers.

Moss looked comfortable while on set as she was seated next to Minghella.
The pair chatted away as she kicked her feet during a break from filming in Los Angeles.
Before her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, no announcement had been made by Moss about whether she is expecting a child.
In 2022, Moss told Daily Mail’s YOU that she wants children and that her mom, Linda, inspired her.
‘I definitely want to have kids because I’ve been very inspired by the kind of mother my mom is. She did a beautiful thing with me,’ she gushed.
Moss then joked that, once her own child is born, she’ll pass them off to her mom.
‘And then I’ll give the child to my mum and she can raise it because she’d do it very well!’
In a 2018 interview with Marie Claire, Moss said she was initially hesitant about motherhood but came around to the idea as she got older.

‘It’s not for everybody, and I didn’t know if it was going to be for me, but lately, I think it is,’ she told the publication.
‘I have no idea how I want to do it though or what the plan is.’
Moss is very private when it comes to her love life as she’s only gone public with two relationships in the past.
She was previously married to comedian Fred Armisen, 57, which she told Vulture was a ‘traumatic’ and ‘horrible’ experience.
She met the Saturday Night Live star in 2008 while her Mad Men co-star Jon Hamm hosted the sketch comedy show.
At the time, Moss was 26 and Armisen was 42.
They wed in October 2009 but they separated eight months later.
Moss officially filed for divorce in September 2010 citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in May 2011.
She said she’s relieved she never started a family with Armisen.
‘I’m glad that I’m not there. I’m glad that it didn’t happen when I was 50. I’m glad I didn’t have kids,’ the LA native said.
‘And I got that out of the way. Hopefully. Like, that’s probably not going to happen again.’

In 2012, Moss moved on with Australian cinematographer Adam Arkapaw after meeting on the New Zealand set of the mini-series Top of the Lake.
The relationship was confirmed by DailyMail.com at the time. Moss and Arkapaw dated for three years before splitting in 2015.
Over the years, Moss has been spotted on dates with ‘mystery men’ but she’s yet to go public with another serious relationship.
Speaking to Marie Claire, Moss said that finding the time to date is ‘difficult’ due to her hectic work schedule.
She also revealed that she hasn’t written off the possibility of getting married again.
‘I have nothing against getting married again, but what I value even more now is the relationship itself,’ Moss said.
‘It’s been eight years [since divorcing Armisen]. I’m older, and hopefully wiser. I’m a romantic, so I love weddings, but I also don’t think you need (a wedding) to have a long-lasting, healthy relationship.
‘Some of the relationships I know that have lasted the longest are the ones that didn’t [get married].’
