Robert Duvall's wife Luciana had shared a poignant final birthday tribute to the actor only weeks before his death at age 95.

His passing was announced on Monday by Luciana via Facebook as she shared he died 'peacefully at home' on February 15.
Duvall was known for starring in a number of critically-acclaimed projects over the span of his Hollywood career including The Godfather and Apocalypse Now.
Last month on Janaury 5, the late actor celebrated his 95th birthday and had received a loving video tribute from his wife to ring in the special milestone.
The montage included photos from his early childhood before jumping to current day which showed him nibbling on a sugary cookie outdoors.

Duvall shared the clip to his Facebook page on Janaury 4 with the caption: 'Luciana surprised me with this wonderful birthday video in preparation for tomorrow's big 95! Thank you all for the support all of these years.'

The reel opened up with a young Duvall flashing a cheerful smile in a black and white photo.
Additional pictures of the late star growing up were shown, including a few of him riding horses.

Text then appeared on the screen in the middle of the clip which simply read '95' followed by 'A mighty ride' as instrumental music played in the background.
Duvall could be seen in the present day as he enjoyed a dessert while sitting in the passenger seat of a car.
A voice who was filming from behind the camera jokingly said, 'That cookie is as big as you!'
