Drummer Jon Wysocki, co-founder of rock band Staind, dies at age 53

  •  The drummer’s new group Lydia’s Castle announced on their Instagram that Wysocki passed away at 53 on Saturday night at just after 8 PM
  • ‘On 5/18/2024 at 8:02pm, @jonwysocki4 passed away surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly,’ the statement read 
  • No cause of death was listed, though the drummer was reportedly having issues with his liver recently 

The music world is in mourning this Sunday, with word that original Staind drummer Jon Wysocki passing away.

The drummer’s new group Lydia’s Castle announced on their Instagram that Wysocki passed away at 53 on Saturday night at just after 8 PM.

‘On 5/18/2024 at 8:02pm, @jonwysocki4 passed away surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly. An official statement will be developed shortly,’ the group said.

No cause of death was listed, though the drummer was reportedly having issues with his liver recently.

Another group he was in – SOIL – posted the following statement: ‘Jon Wysocki was not only a great friend, a great drummer, but a great human being. It was an honor to have him in SOIL for the time we did. We had so many laughs, so many good times. You will be missed dearly. Until we meet again dear friend…. ‘
