's company Flower Films will produce a new Charlie's Angels movie, 25 years after she starred in the remake.
The 50-year-old actress will help bring forth a new iteration written by Pete Chiarelli, who wrote Crazy Rich Asians, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The franchise initially began as a 1976-1981 TV series, which starred Farrah Fawcett, , and Kate Jackson. Cheryl Ladd, 74, joined Jackson, 77, and Smith, 80, in 1977 when she was cast in its second season to replace Fawcett.
Barrymore later appeared in the 2000 movie alongside and , and later reprised her role in 2003's Full Throttle.
A second TV series led by a new cast premiered 2011, but was cancelled following just four episodes.
Then in 2019 , Ella Balinska, and starred in a third movie.

No actresses have been announced to star in the new film.
It comes after it was revealed in January that Smith, Ladd and Jackson will reunite on stage for the first time in decades to mark the 50th anniversary of the show.
