Doechii has made a statement by adding 'lesbian' to the bio of her new Instagram account.
The rapper, 27, (real name Jaylah Hickmon) looks to have created a new profile to accompany her 'official' one and has chosen to signify her sexuality.
Explaining why she wanted to make the new account she wrote in one of the two posts now up that she wants a space to 'express Jaylah the human outside of Doechii the artist.'
The secondary account has the handle @gutsgritsglamour and the bio reads: 'home life • wellness • books/essays • clubbing • lesbian • luxury • travel • beauty • music • side quests • fashion • film.'
She previously spoke about her sexuality with Gay Times in October 2024, saying: 'I think I've always been gay. I always knew I was gay.
'I'm currently bisexual. I am with a woman now and I have always known that I loved women. I've been very, very aware from an early age.'

Doechii hasn't mentioned her girlfriend since then, nor did she reveal who it was. There have never been any public sightings of them together.
She has had an incredible few years in music and recently won Best Music Video at the Grammys for her hit Anxiety.
She proudly posed with her award after the show.
However her UK fans missed out on an opportunity to see her perform last summer when she pulled out of performing at All Points East Festival in August.

She was due to perform on the Saturday of the event but the festival announced that she would no longer be doing her set in a social media statement.
They said on Instagram: 'We're very sorry to announce that Doechii will no longer be performing at her upcoming shows.
'She is an incredible artist, and, like all of her fans, we were hugely excited to see her on stage. All Points East has an amazing line-up including , Tyla, JADE, Jyoty, Nao and many more, and it's set to be a truly unforgettable day.'
Doechii also pulled out of Forwards Bristol festival and cancelled her performance on Thursday at Rock en Seine in Paris that month.
Fans were devastated about the news as they demanded a good replacement for her act - which ended up being FKA Twigs.

It came a few weeks before Doechii declared she was 'right' to call out President for his protests crackdown last summer, after being praised by fans for her impassioned speech at the .
The rapper used her acceptance speech at the ceremony to , which at the time the President responded to by deploying the National Guard in a controversial move.
