Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu has been greenlit by Disney with Jon Favreau set to direct.
The film which comes from the highly-popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian is expected to film later this year according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the site Mandalorian series creator Favreau, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy, and Lucasfilm chief creative officer Dave Filoni will produce the feature.
It is set to be the first Star Wars film to go into production since 2019’s Star Wars: Rise Of The Skywalker.
