The Disney Channel announced Wednesday that the sixth season finale of Raven-Symoné Pearman-Maday’s sitcom Raven’s Home, which aired on September 3, was the series finale.
The 38-year-old former child star was 15 when she originated the role of psychic teen-turned-fashion designer Raven Baxter in the cable network’s sitcom That’s So Raven, which aired for four seasons spanning 2003-2007.
Instead, Raven-Symoné will executive produce and direct Alice in the Palace, a spin-off pilot starring her onscreen cousin – Alice Baxter (Mykal-Michelle Harris) – who moves back to England and reunites with her doppelgänger Duchess Clementine (also played by Harris) – according to Deadline.
The precocious 12-year-old won a Children’s & Family Emmy Award last year for her role as Alice, and her pilot will be written and produced by Raven’s Home creators Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas (who are also overseeing the reboot Wizards Beyond Waverly Place).
Pearman-Maday – who boasts 14.5M social media followers – gushed on Instagram on Wednesday: ‘Thank you to #disneybrandedTV for believing in me all these years and for years to come! Let’s get it poppin!’

The three-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee is ‘excited to embark on the next chapter of this creative journey alongside my Disney family’ as part of a new multi-year overall deal she signed with Disney Branded Television.
Following controversy over never watching That’s So Raven as a child, Miranda Pearman-Maday took to Instastory to publicly show her support for her wife on Wednesday: ‘Soooo proud of you my love @ravensymone!’
‘I’m here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments. And stop with the death threats in her DMs,’ Raven-Symoné said in a May 2nd TikTok.
‘It is disrespectful to her, and in turn, disrespectful to me. Stop it.’
Her 36-year-old Best Podcast Ever co-host added: ‘I think my wife is endlessly talented. I support her beyond. She also isn’t just Raven-Symoné to me. You guys must try and open your minds a little bit and understand there is more behind people that are celebrity, there is real life here. And that’s why we’re feeling inclined to address this because I’m receiving so much hate for something that is really just a big spiral of internet misinformation.’
The Pearman-Madays – who met at a karaoke event in 2013 – will celebrate four years of wedded bliss on June 18.
The Cheetah Girls alum will next reprise her voiceover role as Maria Media in Anna O’Brian’s comedy Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation, which premieres June 6 on Disney Channel (June 7 on Disney+).
Raven-Symoné famously began her career, at age three, portraying Bill Cosby’s onscreen step-granddaughter Olivia Kendall on his hit NBC sitcom The Cosby Show from 1989–1992.
The disgraced 86-year-old comedian’s legacy and career were destroyed after nearly 60 women claimed they were drugged and sexually assaulted by him as far back as 1965 and as recent as 2005 (he’s denied all of the allegations).
