Combs was witnessed running a red light by a police officer and pulled over around 8 a.m., police told TMZ at the time of the DUI arrest.

Combs was seen speaking with a police officer in an image published by the outlet. Police told the outlet that the officer pulled over the vehicle Combs was driving in and determined him to be the driver.

The officer subsequently determined that probable cause existed to arrest Combs, who was taken into custody in connection with suspicion of driving under the influence, the outlet reported.

Combs was then booked in connection with a misdemeanor DUI, with his bond set at $5,000, the outlet reported.

He was subsequently released on his own recognizance, The U.S. Sun reported.

Diddy welcomed Justin on December 30, 1993 with ex Misa Hylton, 50, in Mount Vernon, New York.

Following his arrest, Justin’s mother Hylton appeared to react in a series of posts to her Story, as per USA Today.

‘I’m not protecting no one anymore, just my son. And ALL the children,’ she wrote.

‘The statement “a fish rots from the head down” means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor in a family or organization’s success, leadership is also the root cause of its failure and demise. The Truth shall set you free.’

‘Act BAD BAD boy I used to want to be a BAD Girl I chose to be a QUEEN Tried and true. I’m not perfect but I am INTENTIONAL,’ she went on, a reference to Diddy’s single Act Bad with the City Girls and Fabolous. ‘I should have kept my child with me,’ she added.
