Leighton Meester has been spotted on the Gold Coast by shocked fans after travelling Down Under to film for a new drama series.
The actress, 37, best known for her portrayal of Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, was seen posing for photographs with fans outside the Burleigh Pavilion bar in Burleigh Heads.
One eager fan took to TikTok to share a smiling snap of themselves with the star as they detailed how they met her during a night out.
Ilayda Ozcan explained how she and her friend were enjoying a night out on the town when they spotted the star, before being urged to say hello by the bouncers.
She detailed: ‘I went to the bouncer and I’m like, ‘is that her’, and they were like, ‘Yeah, go up to her’.’

She then admitted that Leighton saw them looking over and asked if they wanted a photograph, before they had the chance to approach her.
Her friend said while laughing: ‘She could see us literally staring at her!’
Ilayda said she asked Leighton what she was doing Down Under, to which she responded that she was filming.
At the end of the video, she candidly admitted: ‘But we’ve never watched Gossip Girl!’
The video sent fans into a tailspin as fans of The CW show were quick to take to the comments to share their jealousy.
One fan told how they too had spotted her Down Under, writing: ‘I sat across from her at Justin Lane last Saturday night. At first I wasn’t sure if it was her and now I’ve come across your video!!!!’

Leighton is in Queensland filming for her upcoming comedy drama series Good Cop/Bad Cop.
The eight-part Stan series has been created by Will & Grace writer John Quaintance and will also star Luke Cook and Clancy Brown.
The procedural comedic drama follows Lou (Leighton) and Henry (Luke), a sibling detective duo who work in a small Pacific Northwest police force.
They are forced to contend with colourful residents, a lack of resources, and a complex family dynamic with their police chief Big Hank (Clancy), who is also their father.
