AFL star Darcy Moore's girlfriend Dee Salmin has taken a swipe at on the red carpet at  Fashion Week on Sunday.

The presenter, 31, ensured all eyes were on her in a white singlet emblazoned with the word 'Difficult' – a direct dig at the Prime Minister.

The top's pointed message was in reference to Albanese recently labelling , 31, 'difficult' when asked to describe her in one word.

Earlier in the day, Dee shared a gallery of photos to social media of her painting the singlet.

She paired the top with a black-and-white patterned mini-skirt and knee-high boots as she posed at the Royal Exhibition Building.

'We love difficult women and upcycling at @melbfashionfestival,' she captioned the post.

'So my top was handmade with fabric paint and an op shop singlet,' she added.

Tame made headlines last week after Anthony Albanese called the child sexual abuse survivor 'difficult' – sparking widespread backlash against the Prime Minister.

Albanese took part in a rapid-fire Q and A at the Future Victoria summit on Wednesday when he was asked to reply with one–word answers.

Asked to provide a description of Tame, the 2021 Australian of the Year, Albanese replied: 'Difficult.'

When confronted, the PM tried to justify it as a comment on Tame's 'difficult life'.

'If there was any misinterpretation, then I certainly apologise,' he told reporters on Thursday.

'Grace Tame, you certainly can't describe in one word.

'She has had a difficult life, and that was what I was referring to.'

On Friday, Tame took to social media to condemn Albanese's comments and his subsequent apology.

'Dude's quoting Scott (Morrison) now!!! "She's had a difficult life"... Spare me the condescension, old man,' she wrote in a comment on Instagram.

'A badge of honour anyway. A confession that I've ruffled him.'

In a separate comment, Ms Tame said the apology was 'a patronising cop out from a total coward'.

The stoush started on Wednesday, when Albanese was asked to describe Ms Tame in one word while speaking at a conference in Melbourne.

The prime minister also described Donald Trump as 'president', Pauline Hanson as 'divisive' and One Nation voters as 'frustrated', but declined to describe Barnaby Joyce in a single word.

Ms Tame has previously had a good relationship with Albanese, but regularly criticised his predecessor Scott Morrison, particularly over his handling of the rape of Brittany Higgins in Parliament House, which became public in 2021.

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young said Albanese's comments were unfortunate and it was appropriate that he'd apologised.

Dee and Darcy have been dating since early 2023
