The actress, 38, said the brand new series of the hit BBC comedy show is supposed to continue seamlessly on from the previous run, despite it airing three years ago.

But things didn’t quite go to plan after Daisy underwent a dramatic body transformation and various cosmetic ‘tweakments’ in the intervening period.

Reflecting on how they dealt with the continuity challenges on this Saturday’s instalment of The Jonathan Ross Show, the comedian said: ‘Series one is meant to be 30 seconds before series two and in that 30 seconds I’ve lost about 10 stone and had my lips done.

‘I saw the rushes and I said to the BBC, “God, we’re going to have a disclaimer at the beginning saying – Daisy has had her lips done, go with it and please don’t judge”.’

Am I Being Unreasonable is a surreal comedy following two women who enjoy a fun-loving life, before things begin to turn pear-shaped.

Daisy has been on a dramatic weight loss journey over the last two years but revealed she has since been flooded with messages telling her that she’s ‘no longer funny’ since changing her appearance.

Discussing her appearance, the mother-of-two told the BBC podcast How To Be In The Spotlight: ‘I’m so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction.’

Daisy – who split from husband Will Weston in July 2021 after nearly two years of marriage – went on: ‘I wasn’t healthy. I couldn’t breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy.

‘And I’ve had some messages like, “Well, now you’ve lost the weight you’re not funny any more.”

‘What the f**k? Why do women have to be f**king fat to be funny? That makes me so angry. I champion anybody. I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn’t.’

In an appearance at the Am I Being Unreasonable premiere in January, Daisy was seen looking markedly different from her former self — sporting a more defined bone structure and a crease-free forehead.

The actor has previously admitted to undergoing cosmetic ‘tweakments’ including fillers and this year, said she was advised to stop getting anti-wrinkle Botox injections as the effect on her facial expressions could limit acting roles.

In 2024, the actress said she had had fillers but admitted it gave her a ‘horrible pillow face’ — when filler makes the face appear puffy — and she ‘couldn’t move [her] face’.

The star said: 'I saw the rushes and I said to the BBC , "God, we're going to have a disclaimer at the beginning saying - Daisy has had her lips done, go with it and please don't judge"'

In June she told the BBC podcast she was banned by her agent from getting any more Botox or fillers over fears she wouldn’t ‘be able to act’.

She said: ‘I’ve had Botox and then I had fillers. It was just the worst, I looked awful. There’s me on the One Show and I’ve got that horrible pillow face. I can’t move my face.

‘My agent said to me: “You’ve got to stop because you’re not going to be able to f*****g act”.

‘I literally couldn’t move my eyebrows. It killed me because I loved not having any creases in my forehead. I stopped having that done. But I haven’t had any surgery.

‘I did go in to have a consultation for a tummy tuck and the surgeon just scared the s*** out of me. There’s that dog ear thing you can get — these flaps that come from the side. I just thought, I can’t. I’ll use my Spanx to hold all that in.’

Speaking alongside fellow Jonathan Ross guests Warwick Davis, Ashley Walters and Jodie Whittaker about attending the BAFTAs, Daisy discussed her highlight of the evening.

She said: ‘Seeing Tony from Hollyoaks in the smoking area. Oh my God, he was terrified.’

Touching upon where she keeps her awards, Daisy added: ‘I put them on the mantelpiece right by the front door so whoever sees it. You can’t sell them – I have looked into it.’

Jonathan also quizzed Daisy on whether she gets approached in the Cotswolds by fans.

The actress said: ‘Not really. People stop me because they remember me for p***ing on the P.E. mat in year five. That’s about it. It’s just people that remember me from school.’

On whether her children watch her on television, Daisy joked: ‘I force them to sit down and watch my stuff. They’re not interested at all.’

Referencing the fact she took part in The Masked Singer, she added: ‘My daughter Pip is a huge fan of The Masked Singer but when she found out I was doing it, she was mortified, she was so embarrassed!’

Daisy also revealed that she doesn’t have a mobile phone, saying: ‘I haven’t had a phone for two years. It’s Whatsapp groups, mum groups on Whatsapp. I can’t do it. They’re pinging off every second. It drives me nuts.’

Later, Daisy joked about regretting casting her father in This Country.

‘Putting him in This Country playing Martin Mucklowe was the worst thing I ever did, me and [her brother and the show’s co-creator] Charlie agree.

‘He just wants to be in everything now. He actually did a self-tape for Am I Being Unreasonable? He was terrible! He just needs to just be my Dad and not do the acting.’
