While she was introducing one of her songs, a man in the crowd yelled something that was unintelligible in the footage that has surfaced online.

'I don't know what the f*** you're saying, hon,' said the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun hitmaker. 'Please remember where you are, okay? 'Cause if you're trying to shade me, b****, I'm gonna come for you. I'm from Brooklyn.'

Her response was met with an explosion of applause from the rest of the audience who had gathered Friday to listen to the 72-year-old songstress.

Lauper then returned to her setup to Sally's Pigeons, a 1993 song about a childhood friend of hers who died as a result of a back-alley abortion.
