Big Brother viewers were left fuming by housemate Kerry after she was confronted by Matty for speaking behind his back on Thursday.
The 40-year-old who has previously been reprimanded for using a gay slur, was said to ‘dismiss’ and ‘gaslight’ 24-year-old doctor of his historic relationship with food – despite her own high-flying role in the NHS.
Joining her at the dining table Matty said: ‘Zak told me about a conversation that involved you and Olivia, about my food consumption’.
‘You said: “Oh, do you notice how much Matty eats?”‘.
Kerry was quick to point out Zak too has much to say on the subject, her housemate continued: ‘But you need to realise how important your words can be cos you might not understand everyone’s history with certain stuff like that at all’.
Unimpressed: Big Brother viewers were left fuming by housemate Kerry (pictured) after she was confronted by Matty for speaking behind his back on Thursday
Fuming: The NHS worker, 40, who has previously been reprimanded for using a gay slur, was said to ‘dismiss’ 24-year-old doctor’s historic relationship with food after commenting on the amount he was eating – despite her high-flying role in the NHS (Matty pictured)
Kerry interjected: ‘I am not going to stop talking to people and I don’t feel like I’ve always got to go up to them and them them what I’m saying’.
Matty hit back: ‘I don’t think you’re hearing what I’m saying’.
Only for her to reply: ‘I’m hearing what you are saying, but I think you are making a much bigger deal of this and what it is’.
‘I’ve got no issue with what you eat, I genuinely think you are being really sensitive about it. And I’m sorry it make you feel that way.’
While Matty said he felt as though his feelings were being ‘dismissed’ Kerry tried to smooth over the tensions with a hug, which was awkwardly declined.
Viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, in their droves with one writing: ‘Kerry gaslighting Matty has made me so uncomfortable. As someone in recovery, if someone ver said the words “eats too much” about me, I would relapse horrifically. She claims to be a senior NHS England staff, but told him he’s just sensitive? Vile behaviour’.
A second said: ‘For an NHS worker Kerry has the least sympathy of anyone I have seen. Clearly Matty was hinting at Easting Disorders and to be that dismissive of such, calling him sensitive and blaming it on Zak shows her true colours’.
Not happy: Viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to make their feelings known
Another typed: ‘Kerry is literally dismissing Matty when he was alluding to having an ED [eating disorder] when will Big Brother evict this woman’.
And: ‘Ummmm Kerry, YOU WERE THE ONE BITCHING ABOUT MATTY! You’re in the Big Brother house, you can’t expect your backstabbing to stay just with you’.
Someone else said: ‘Lol Big Brother are even rolling the clips to prove that Zak is not lying that Olivia and Kerry is bitching about Matty’.
And: ‘Matty refusing a hug from Kerry. Matty has gone up in my books!’.
It comes after Big Brother have pulled up Kerry for using a derogatory slur in the house.
During Monday night’s livestream she shocked viewers when she used the word ‘gay’ in an offensive manner.
A spokesperson for the show has now revealed that Kerry was confronted over her language and apologised for causing offence.
They told MailOnline: ‘Kerry was brought to the diary room to discuss her inappropriate use of language.
‘Big Brother reminded Kerry of her respect and inclusion training prior to entering the House and the consequences of any further use of offensive language.’

Fans hit out at Kerry for the using the ‘awful, outdated’ comment after her fellow co-stars played a prank on her.
Split into two teams, throughout the day, housemates competed in various tasks, giving them the chance to become VIP Glampers and win a more luxurious camping experience.
Kerry secured her spot in the VIP area during the shopping task, but her fellow contestants decided to hide her mattress.
Joking Olivia and Jenkin told Kerry that fans at home had voted for one housemate to lose their luxury bed.
Expressing her anger at the situation, she complained to her co-stars and exclaimed: ‘Well, this is gay.’

I like to do something different and I think this is the next challenge I want to conquer. I want to show people what pageant girls are really like and disprove a lot of stereotypes around them. WHAT ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO BE NOMINATED FOR? ‘Probably just for being annoying. In Wales, we have this saying, “I’ll do it now in a minute.” So like, if I went to make food and I left a dish on the side, I have all good intentions of washing it but I’d be like, “I’ll do it now in a minute,” and it might be three hours later before I do it. So probably for silly stuff like that.’

HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY DESCRIBE YOU? ‘I think they would say I’m particularly sociable and very chatty. They’d say I was quite a peculiar child.’
KERRY
AGE: 40
PROFESSION: NHS manager
FROM: Essex
WHAT MADE YOU APPLY TO BE A BIG BROTHER HOUSEMATE? ‘I love the programme. It is, for me, the ultimate reality TV show ever. I’ve got multiple sclerosis and so the reason why I never applied before is because I always saw those whacking great big stairs to get into the house. It just felt a little bit unachievable because for the first three years of my illness I was in a wheelchair. When I saw it was coming back and searching for real people from all walks of life, I thought, this is my year.’
