Soap star Saira Choudhry has married her long term partner Marc Jackson – 25 years after the pair went on their first date.
The actress, 42, who is best known for her roles in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street, took to Instagram on Friday to share some behind-the-scenes pictures and videos of their lavish wedding in Crete.
The couple exchanged their vows on the Greek island, surrounded by close family and friends.
Saira, who portrayed Anita Roy on Hollyoaks and later appeared as journalist Naila Badal on Coronation Street, looked stunning for her big day in a strapless white gown with a long train.
The figure-hugging ensemble featured a sweetheart neckline, with buttons down the back and a wrist loop.

She styled her raven locks into a low ponytail.
Saira opted out of wearing a veil and instead chose to wear a demure white bow instead, whilst her husband Marc donned a cream suit.
The bridesmaids, which included Saira’s daughter Leah, wore pale green dresses, each with different straps and necklines.
The wedding venue featured a stunning coastal backdrop, with white chairs arranged for guests and a floral arch for the ceremony.
Tables were set up for the evening reception, with an array of fairy lights where guests enjoyed a meal and entertainment that included an ice cream truck, a bouncy castle, and saxophonist.
Saira shared videos and pictures of her very musical day to her socials, including one of her new husband MCing to Artful Dodger’s Re-Rewind.
Another playful video saw her – presumably before the nuptials – dancing with her bridesmaids to Let’s Get Married by Jagged Edge whilst fanning herself with a hand held fan that had the words ‘The Bride’ written across it.
As she and her new husband walked into their wedding reception, Bruno Mars’ Finesse played.

The reception playlist included songs such as Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect,’ with Saira seen throwing her bouquet to Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).’
The wedding comes less than two years after Saira announced her engagement to Marc, following his proposal at Edinburgh Castle in 2022.
Sharing the news with fans on Instagram, Saira captioned her post: ‘I said yes. Mrs Jackson it is then. Love you [Marc].’
She added: ‘Met you 23 years ago. Who knew our journey would lead us here. Here’s to our next chapter.’
Saira has had a varied acting career, with notable roles in No Offence and Waterloo Road, where she currently plays maths teacher Nisha Chandra.
