Constance Hall has shared her good fortune with her extended family and says she is proud to do it.

As Australia suffers from a housing crisis, the mummy blogger and influencer says she was able to move a cousin’s family into the home she shares with her seven children and partner Denim Cooke in Western Australia.

‘Due to the relentless housing crisis Denz and I received the welcomed surprise of my cousin and her family in need of somewhere to stay’ the 40-year-old wrote on Facebook this week.

Because it was a tight fit, her partner and her cousin got their hands dirty while hitching an old wagon Constance had sitting in a driveway to the side of their house to create an extra space.

‘Today while painting the door green I said to Denz “do you realise we are living our dream? Remember the OG dream was to build a commune with tree houses and cabins, water falls and skate ramps?”‘ she wrote.

‘Sure it’s not on acreage but we are using my design and your skills to turn this little home into a commune that can fit everyone who needs it? And he put his tools down and came to high-five me.’

Constance concluded: ‘Someone once said to me “while there is a roof over my head there is a roof over yours” it was a really kind thing to say and I never forgot it.

‘I can only hope that our home turns the lemons of life into lemonade for those who need it for rest of our lives.’

It comes after the blogger gave fans an update on her relationship with Denim and said in an Instagram Stories video that they grow stronger all the time.

‘Yes it was getting better, they dip and then they get better again,’ she said.

‘The thing I love most about Denzy is that his heart is kind, really kind and he’s always prepared to change and grow and listen,’ she continued.

‘Like for example, I was saying to him the other day, I don’t want to keep telling you what the f**k to do because I need to focus on what I’m doing and I had a go at him and we fought,’ Constance went on.

‘Then he went off and he thought about it, he comes back and he goes ‘I think it is because I never saw my dad doing this’ and he was vacuuming and he was like I really want to get better, I want to be a better husband.’

Constance had been living apart from her partner after he almost died falling off a motorbike, but he has since moved back in.

‘He just completely checked out of life after the accident,’ she said.

Denim was involved in a horror motorbike crash in August, 2020.

The 48-year-old was airlifted to a trauma ward at Royal Perth Hospital suffering seven broken ribs, punctured lungs, multiple infections and a brain injury after skidding off his bike.

‘I think when he woke up from the accident, I was very excited. And there was this sort of false hope,’ Constance said.

‘I spoke to the doctors, and they said Denim doesn’t have motivation anymore. The frontal lobe damage has taken any of that away that he might have had before.

‘His psychiatrist said really recently, and it was really clever, “He loves you. He loves his family. He needs to work for you rather than just getting you and all the things you do and provide… and that’s not gonna happen unless he’s removed from the family home.”‘

The couple began to look into an assisted care facility to get a few nights away from each other and heal but Constance was reminded constantly that he was ‘becoming a shell of a man’.

Denim went to stay with ‘his bestest friend’ who lives in Esperance, a 10 hour drive away from Constance’s home in Margaret River.

‘I spoke to him the next day, and there was just this light in his face… like he was just his old self again. He was clear. He was awake and alive and around lovely people,’ she said.

Her empathy, compassion and desire soon returned and Constance thanks her partner’s psychiatrist for stepping in when he did to ‘help them’.

Constance and Denim met in 2017, they ‘married’ and had their son Raja in 2018 bringing the total ‘kid count’ to seven.

The controversial mummy blogger explained up until recently, she was still legally married to her first husband, British carpenter Bill Mahon, because she couldn’t cope with the red tape involved with getting a divorce, hence she and Denim are not legally married at this time.
