The popular afternoon panel show's output has been drastically reduced from all year broadcasting to a fixed 30 week schedule, with its traditional live studio audience also axed as it moves to a smaller studio space.

And Nolan, 61, a recurring panellist since 2000, says the drop in episodes has had an impact on her financial status.

'On the one hand, it's nice to have a bit more time off,' she told OK! 'But on the business side, I think, "I've got a mortgage to pay."

'We get paid per show and I'm filming fewer shows. But it has given me more incentive to do other TV work.'

The Daily Mail exclusively revealed that the ITV programme was set to as the channel's budget cuts raged on.

While limited funds have affected output, rumours of backstage tension among a revolving panel of stars has followed the show from Television Studios to its new home at The H Club in Covent Garden.

But Nolan is quick to dispel persistent claims of a toxic atmosphere, adding:  'We all get on. We've got a WhatsApp group and support each other through everything. It's like having 20 extra sisters.

'I'm closer to the people I work with most, so people like Christine [Lampard], Ruth [Langsford] and Brenda [Edwards].'

Away from Loose Women, Nolan has set her sights on finding a new man after signing up for the new series of Celebs Go Dating.

'It's a minefield,' she said. 'A lot of the attention I get is from younger men sliding into my Instagram DMs, and I think, "Why? What could you possibly want with me?"

'My rule is, I don't want to date anyone I could have given birth to.'

Speaking to the Not My Bagg podcast in January, Nolan admitted the budget cuts at ITV had cost many of her friends their jobs.

'We'll only be on during term time now. So all the holidays will be off,' she said. 'On one hand, you go "quite nice time off". But then on the other hand, you go, "I’ve still got bills to pay."

She added: 'It's just a different vibe, I think it will be okay but I'm just going to miss a lot of different people behind the scenes.

'It will still be live but there will be no audience and I don't think they are having guests. I just feel like it will be like a podcast but on live television.

'But, it could have been worse. They could have said: "By the way, we’re not recommissioning it. See you later." It's still here, it's still going.

'I love having the audience there. You know, you get all the feedback from the audience and the adrenaline from the audience. So that's going to be really weird for us.'

However, Nolan said she understood the business aspect of cost-cutting despite the sadness.

She said: 'They've all got to find new jobs. So there's a sadness. I understand that it's a business, and sometimes in business hard decisions have to be made and nowadays it is all about budgets.

'TV is so different now. I mean, if you think of how many channels there are, the competition… I can't even count how many channels there are.

'It’s a different era now to what it was 25 years ago. When I was a kid, there was three channels. That's how old I am!

'When I did the Cliff Richard series when I was nine, that went out on a Saturday night and there were 23million every week watching that show.'
