CHARLOTTE Tilbury says her mission is to represent more women in motorsport and that her love for the sport came from her father.

The makeup mogul announced British driver Chloe Chong, 17, as her most recent signing for her F1 Academy sponsorship.

The F1 Academy was then launched in 2023 as an entry-level series for women drivers taking their first steps in motorsport.

And in February last year Charlotte Tilbury announced its first-ever global sports sponsorship becoming the first female-founded brand and the first beauty brand to sponsor the F1 Academy.

Now speaking exclusively to The Mail, Charlotte Tilbury, 52, has revealed her reasons behind the idea.

โ€˜I am incredibly passionate about women pursuing their dreams, feeling their most confident and thinking limitlessly,โ€™ she said.

โ€˜Women have been so underrepresented in motorsport. When I found out that 40 per cent of F1 fans are female yet more women have orbited the earth than driven an F1 car, I wanted to change that.

โ€˜I realised there was an opportunity to make waves and positively impact diversity, inclusion and representation beyond the beauty industry.

โ€˜Partnering with F1 Academy was the perfect opportunity to champion to these talented, fearless female drivers and celebrate their successes with a whole new audience.โ€™

Chloe Chong made history as the youngest ever driver to race with F1 Academy in 2023 aged just 15 and has since been labeled the one to watch.

Growing up karting on the same track where Lewis Hamilton began his career, racing has always been her dream and similarly to Charlotte, her interest in the sport spiked from her father.

Charlotte said: โ€˜Formula 1 has always had a special place in my heart. My father introduced me to the sport, and it was such a thrilling part of our lives growing up. He was great friends with Niki Lauda, and they would often talk about racing while driving me around Ibiza, where I grew up. It is something that has always excited me.โ€™

Asked on why she chose Chloe has her latest singing, she said: โ€˜. She is going to take the 2025 season by storm and inspire the next generation of women, unlocking confidence and opportunity in motorsport. She is a true trailblazer with limitless potential to unlock! This partnership celebrates the strength, determination and undeniable talent of the next generation of female drivers โ€“ and Chloe is the true embodiment of this. She has that winning โ€˜dare to dream itโ€™ mindset.โ€™

This year, Chloe Chong will be driving the Charlotte Tilbury operated by Rodin car, in their signature night crimson and rose gold colourways, with the iconic Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips icon, and sporting a new race suit featuring Charlotteโ€™s mantra, โ€˜Makeup Your Destinyโ€™.

Speaking exclusively to The Mail last week on her announcement, she said: โ€˜Even at school, when I wasn’t as focused with my racing, I’d always talk to my friends about makeup.

‘It was a new thing in our lives, especially beginning secondary school, and Charlotte Tilbury always came up. And at that time I’d never had a Charlotte Tilbury product.

‘It was only about a year ago I bought my first Charlotte Tilbury item.

‘So going into F1 Academy and learning that I’ll have a sponsor seat and I didn’t know who, I was wishing for it to be Charlotte, but I wasn’t too sure because I wouldn’t say I’m the girliest of girls.

‘But when I heard the news and they came to meet me it was definitely a dream come true.โ€™
