Charlotte Dawson has hit back at ‘nasty messages’ from fans accusing her of ‘milking’ her pregnancy amid her fiancé Matthew Sarsfield’s sexting scandal.
The reality star, 31, has been with the rugby league player, 32, for eight years, but was left hurt and humiliated after discovering last month that he had sent intimate texts to another woman.
But just weeks after the news broke, Charlotte shocked fans by revealing she is pregnant with their ‘surprise’ third child – already sharing sons Noah, three, and one-year-old Jude.
On Sunday, she took to her Instagram to share a glimpse at her photoshoot with OK magazine, posing with her two little boys and showing off her blossoming baby bump.
But the influencer was hit by a wave of ‘nasty’ comments on the post, accusing her of ‘milking’ her pregnancy and Matt’s sexting scandal, even suggesting it was all a ‘publicity stunt’.

Charlotte took to her Instagram Stories to defend herself and ask fans with negative opinions to simply unfollow her.
She insisted she had been forced to speak publicly on Matt’s actions after the woman he was messaging sold the story, and lamented that she ‘can’t win’ as she faced criticism for staying quiet and for addressing it.
In the lengthy post, she wrote: ‘A lovely picture I wanted to share of my boys & I… turned into a negative. I just want to address a few things, a stupid comment about me “milking this”.
‘Just to remember here I’ve had my heartbroken [sic] & been embarrassed publicly whilst growing my 3rd child & trying to remain as calm as possible.
‘I was always going to be announcing my pregnancy with ok mag, but this was different to how it was meant to be.
‘I wanted my fiancé & baby daddy in the shoot – it broke my heart he wasn’t, I didn’t as for this… but obviously I had to talk about it in the interview as that is what’s actually happening right now.
‘And I’ve addressed things on my podcast because I felt like it’s a safe place to get how I’m really feeling out & off my chest.
‘The girl sold the story to the papers so made it public to the press & social media. If this had happened in private not one of you would have known about this.

‘I can’t win I’d be getting slagged off if I wasn’t addressing it then I’m getting slagged off for addressing it. Another one saying I’m hiding Matthew away what do you all want?’
Continuing, Charlotte said that she was trying to focus on staying calm for the sake of her unborn baby and two kids, while adding that the situation was more complicated than ‘simply walking away’ – admitting she still hadn’t made a decision.
She said: ‘I don’t get it… trust me this is no publicity stunt I wish it was, but please remember I have 2 children with one on the way with him & things are a lot harder than just simply walking away.
‘I’ve not even said anything about 100 percent sorting it out yet, just trying to take each day at a time and keeping myself not stressed with this baby in my belly and my boys happy. Like I’ve said it’s nothing to do with anyone what decision I make it’s my family & my life not yours.
‘I appreciate it’s public so people will have negative comments and opinions but this is my Instagram & if you don’t like what you see on here then simple unfollow me I really won’t be offended. Go & slag me off elsewhere.
‘This is the last time I’ll explain myself, any nasty comments will get deleted & you will get blocked because I don’t need the extra stress right now.’
Concluding by thanking her fans for their supportive comments, she said: ‘But thank you for all your nice & lovely comments I love you all, remember even if you don’t want to be… just be kind it makes the world a lot better place. X’
She also hit back directly at one comment on her post, which read: ‘I’ve always been your biggest fan and adored you. but wow! I really think you’re milking it now, half me is feeling is it a stunt.’

Charlotte replied: ‘I announced my pregnancy with ok which I was doing the whole time before Matthew unfortunately did this.
‘As I’m 15 weeks now so I’ve known for some time so I had to talk about it which I didn’t want to but had to address it. Also I didn’t have my fiancé & baby daddy on these pictures which hurt so much.
‘What I do from now is nothing to do with you or with anyone, it’s public because this girl sold it to the papers so I’ve had to address it – this is not what I wanted. Now if you don’t like it or me now unfollow me I won’t be offended x’.
In the aftermath of the sexts being revealed, Matthew moved back into his parents’ house, but the couple are ‘considering couples’ counselling’ with the Swinton Lions now player living back at the family home.
When Charlotte revealed her pregnancy to OK! Magazine, she admitted that Matthew has begged her to give their relationship another go.
She explained she wants to do ‘what’s best for my kids’ but was still unsure about whether to give Matthew another chance, and admitted she hoped the new baby could ‘make him a better man.’
She said: ‘It’s been a crazy time… horrible, having to deal with the heartache, the hurt, and being pregnant too. Noah was asking where Daddy was and I don’t want a broken home. I want to do what’s best for my kids.
‘Matthew says he’s going to give everything he’s got to make this work. But I’ve not made a decision on the future of our engagement yet. He needs to change.

It’s the second time Charlotte has begged her followers to ‘be kind’ following her pregnancy announcement, admitting her first trimester had been ‘the worst time of my life’
‘It would be amazing to have a little girl – for Matthew, too. I think being a girl dad will make him a better man, but we’ll see.’
But, according to The Sun the star has taken her fiancé back, with a source saying: ‘Charlotte has missed Matt so much and he’s been spending lots of time back at the house.
‘She knows he has done wrong and she won’t forget it, but she’s pretty much forgiven him already.’

She took to her Instagram Stories to write: ‘Thank you for all the support, lovely comments and messages! I’m overwhelmed and will try get back to everyone but just so you all know I love you all and very grateful for you all.
‘For the negative ones, remember I’ve had to deal with all this whilst being in my first trimester which has been extremely tough, what meant to be the most happiest time of your life has been the worst time of my life.
‘But every baby is a blessing and I’m so blessed right now. And I’m really trying to remain as calm as I can right now and look after this baby.’
Begging her followers to keep negative comments to themselves, she insisted that the decisions about her relationship were hers to make, pointing out that ‘it’s my life not yours’.
Charlotte spoke out for the first time on the scandal on her My Naughty Corner podcast last month, where she recalled the devastating moment she found out Matt had been sexting another woman
She concluded: ‘Please be kind, if you have nothing nice to say please just don’t say it. Also whatever I decide to do has nothing to do with anyone else, it’s my life not yours.
‘I appreciate all your advice and support but some people get far too involved and nasty. Just no need x’.
Charlotte spoke out for the first time on the scandal on her My Naughty Corner podcast last month, where she recalled the devastating moment she found out Matt had been sexting another woman.
She said: ‘I don’t get why he’s done it, it drives me mad because he’s got everything. He doesn’t want to lose his family over this.’
She explained she was walking to meet Matthew at the barbers when she got a call from her manager who broke the news of his betrayal.
‘My whole world came crashing down, I was so shocked. I felt really shocked, hurt and disappointed. His family were really shocked with him,’ she said.
Charlotte revealed Matthew had met the blonde woman through rugby as he played on the team with her ex, with them messaging on Instagram, and said: ‘I’ve seen the messages they’re not nice, it really hurt’.
She admitted their relationship has been strained for the past two years, with her sometimes turning down sex as she was exhausted from raising their young kids, but pointed out the lack of intimacy was ‘no excuse’ for his actions.
She said: ‘We haven’t had a good relationship this past two years, but it’s no excuse. Children come in the middle of the relationship. It hasn’t been good for a while. It’s hard to get that intimate time that’s been a massive thing.’

Matthew then moved into his mum and dad’s house and was begging for Charlotte to take him back.
She said: ‘He’s absolutely broken. He doesn’t even look like himself at all. He’s really upset, but so he should be. He’s hurt it family. It’s whether I can forgive and forget.
‘I need to switch off from all the background noise. I don’t want this affecting Noah at nursery. He keeps saying ‘When is Daddy coming home?’ He’s literally ripped my heart out and stamped on it. He’s trying to make amends every single day.’
Charlotte added: ‘The past couple of weeks have been very, very tough. It’s a massive shock because I never expected him to do this. I thought we were a little family unit.’
The reality star confessed she still hadn’t made a decision on whether to forgive Matthew and give their relationship another go.
She said tearfully: ‘I feel like he doesn’t love me, it drives me mad when I think about it. I still love him but I don’t know where my head is at.’
