Chalamet (seen on March 1 in LA) caused some major backlash when he stated he didn't want to work in either opera or ballet, as 'no one cares about this anymore,' and it triggered a sharp response from Theron
He did try to soften his stance by saying, 'All respect to the ballet and opera people out there.'
But Theron gave him no mercy. 'That was a very reckless comment on an art form, two art forms, that we need to lift up constantly because, yes, they do have a hard time,' she shot back.
She added, 'But in 10 years, AI is going to be able to do Timothée's job, but it will not be able to replace a person on a stage dancing live. And we shouldn't s*** on other art forms.'
