It's unclear if that was the injury that led to his surgery shoulder however he detailed just how life-changing the setback was for him in a September interview with Variety

The publication noted Tatum arrived to their interview with a 'pronounced limp', with the actor revealing how the injury forced him to take a backseat for the remainder of shooting.

He said they had 'tons more shooting' to do, as well as a 'big fight' scene with Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).

Tatum was on painkillers at the time of the chat (though opted against being on them for the actual interview) and had plans to begin intensive physical therapy in the future.

The acute pain wasn't Tatum's biggest concern at the time but rather knowing the impact the injury would have on his life at large.

'It’s not about the pain I feel in the moment,' he told the outlet.  'It's knowing I can't take this back. And now I know what the next six months of my life will be like.'
