news weather presenter Casey Treloar has shared her heartbreak after suffering her third miscarriage in the past six months.
The Adelaide-based TV star posted a black-and-white image of her lying in a hospital bed staring out the window on Instagram and described her pain in the caption.
'My life may have appeared bright, happy and successful in recent weeks... but inside I've felt far from it,' she began.
'Yesterday I started day one of my amazing new role at 7NEWS. But behind the smile, I knew I was facing a devastating a loss. Today I went underwent surgery to deal with failed pregnancy number 3. In the last 6 months we've said goodbye three times.'
She added that she and her fiancé Sam Ennis were experiencing strong emotions as they struggled to comprehend their loss.
'Hurt, devastation, anxiety, disbelief and grief. The roller coaster of emotions has been a wild and confusing one,' Casey explained.

'We truly believed this time around would result in our first baby. But it wasn't meant to be.'
She finished by saying they would continue to try for a successful pregnancy and that the couple are positive about the future.
'I've been open and honest about this heartbreaking journey. And will continue to do so, to remind anyone going through this too - you're not alone. Pregnancy loss is often suffered in silence. If you're on a similar path, we see you,' she added.
'If you've walked this road, you know how complex and invisible this kind of loss can be. Please be gentle with us as we process. We know our joy will arrive one day.'
Many of Casey's celebrity friends took to the comments section to offer their sympathies.

'I'm so sorry. Sending you so much love xxx,' wrote Olivia Molly Rogers.
'Sending lots of love Casey. It's a path no one should ever walk, but so many unfortunately do. I'm so sorry you’ve walked this path time and time again, your rainbow is coming,' MasterChef Australia winner Laura Sharrad added.
Casey has only just started her role as the Adelaide weather presenter, taking over from Amelia Mulcahy.
