She rose to stardom by sharing posts that mocked and mimicked celebrities and influencers.
And Celeste Barber, 42, has now revealed the complexities of continuing her comedic commentary now that she herself is a star.
‘It can be tricky,’ Barber admitted to The Sydney Morning Herald on Sunday.
‘I think getting success later in life helped – as they say, overnight success 23 years in the making – because I know the hustle, I know what it takes, my intentions become really clear.’
Despite her newfound fame, Barber insists that her goal was never to achieve celebrity status.

‘My intention now that I’m famous is not to be famous. At all. I’ve never, ever [wanted it] – I’m a very socially anxious person. I understand fame is a by-product of success in this industry, but I just f***ing hate the word. I’m a very authentic person.’
Despite her rising stardom, Barber’s home life remains down-to-earth.
She has been in a relationship with Api Robin for over 20 years.

The couple married in 2013 and share two sons, Lou and Buddy. Barber is also a stepmother to Api’s two adult daughters, Darah and Kyah.
Celeste has built a loyal fanbase thanks to her Instagram videos and photos spoofing celebrities’ lifestyles.
She has previously poked fun at the likes of Tammy Hembrow, Miley Cyrus and Gwyneth Paltrow, by mimicking their posts in her own unique way.

In March, Celeste appeared on The Project and revealed that some influencers and celebrities often contact her begging to be parodied.
‘Yep. Heaps,’ she said when asked if anyone had asked to be featured on her profile.
‘I also get people going, “Have you seen so and so? You need to parody her. She needs the followers”. It’s full on,’ she added.
However, Celeste has also made friends with some big names after mocking them.
‘I am friendly with some of them, which is nice,’ she said, before joking: ‘Anyway, I was talking to Cindy Crawford and she said…’
