Cat Deeley enjoyed a three day surprise trip to Cabo over the weekend ahead of her stint on This Morning.

The presenter, 47, will take the helm alongside Ben Shephard next month as the new permanent daytime hosts.

And Cat ensured she was best prepared for the early starts as she hit the beach in Cabo for some ‘rest and relaxation’ in a black bikini.

The TV host, who was in Cabo ahead of the release of series 18 So You Think You Can Dance, took to Instagram to share a slew of snaps from her holiday as she enjoyed cocktails and read Sally Rooney’s Normal People.

Cat wrote: ‘ Surprise three day weekend down in #Cabo for a little rest & relaxation.’

Fans praised Cat on her natural beauty as she went make-up free in the candid beach snaps.

They wrote: ‘Bare Face Deeley is EVERYTHING never wear makeup again – gorgeous gorgeous you’.

‘Golden sun goddess’ while Frida Redknapp typed: ‘Looks wonderful’.

Cat is set to begin her This Morning role on March 11 alongside Ben, 49, who will depart Good Morning Britain after more than a decade.

Having taken on the new job, Cat will reportedly lose her long-time role on So You Think You Can Dance in the US, where she was paid an estimated £43k an episode – instead opting for the role on This Morning with a reported £550k annual salary.

It had been claimed Cat was finally been won over with a more lucrative deal, but insiders at ITV denied the claims – insisting it was the ability to spend more time family, over a big money payday, that finally sealed the deal.

The news was confirmed via a bespoke promo on This Morning’s Twitter.

Cat said: ‘This Morning is a national institution. Whenever it’s on, it’s like having your friends over – funny, smart, silly, heartfelt, informative and joyful – like all the greatest friendships!…

‘This Morning is and always will be the viewer’s show. Ben and I both know how much people love it, and with the help of an amazing team of people, we’re going to do our best to take care of it.’
