Brittany Cartwright fiercely defended her son, Cruz, from online trolls questioning his well-being amid her separation from her estranged husband Jax Taylor.

In a new post, uploaded to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, the Vanderpump Rules star, 35, told her 1.8 million Instagram followers that they were free to judge her, but not her little boy.

‘You guys can reel in the drama of my life I don’t care but leave my innocent son’s name out of it!!!’ she wrote on her Instagram Story. ‘Don’t act like you know anything about him watching 30 mins of a show recorded last summer.’

She went on to write that she does ‘everything’ she ‘possibly can for’ her toddler, who she emphasized was a ‘perfect and innocent child.’

‘I will not have strangers acting like they know what’s going on in his life,’ the mother-of-one concluded. ‘Talk about me, talk about his father, I don’t care, but enough is enough!!!!!’

The TV personality reportedly posted the statement after feeling hurt by some ‘comments about her son’s well-being.’

‘It hurts Brittany to read comments about her son’s well-being,’ a source told People. ‘She is highly protective over her son as any caring mother would be. Despite what she is going through personally in her marriage, her and Jax have always and continue to put their son first.’

The insider added that Cruz ‘remains their number one priority and they have done a great job co-parenting during this rather turbulent time.’

‘They are both incredibly attentive and loving parents and give Cruz absolutely everything he needs. He is a happy child and that’s all that really matters,’ they concluded.

On an episode of her and Taylor’s reality series, The Valley, Cartwright voiced concern over her little one’s ‘developing verbal skills.’

‘Cruz has done everything on time when it comes to crawling, walking, sitting up,’ she said. ‘He was saying “dada, mama, doggie,” things like that. And then he just seemed to regress one day. Like, he stopped talking almost all together.’

She proceeded to tell the audience they were going to take their son to ‘speech therapy just to make sure that he has all the help that he needs.’

‘I think everything’s great except for that. He’s a smart kid,’ Taylor added while Cartwright explained they were just making sure Cruz was getting ‘the right tools and everything that he needs.’

Taylor went on to say that he was ‘researching everything’ and ‘doing everything’ he’s ‘supposed to be doing’ as a dad.

In February, Taylor and Cartwright announced they were ‘taking time apart’ after four years of marriage.’

The former couple revealed the news on their joint podcast When Reality Hits, confirming.

‘Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,’ Cartwright told listeners.

'I will not have strangers acting like they know what's going on in his life,' the mother-of-one concluded. 'Talk about me, talk about his father, I don't care, but enough is enough!!!!!'

The mother-of-one also later hinted that the ‘split’ could be temporary, as she asked fans to ‘pray for us,’ and added that she believes ‘everything will be just fine.’

The beloved Bravo stars tied the knot in a fairy-tale themed wedding ceremony on June 2019 in Kentucky after a year-long engagement.

Going on to suggest they’ve now temporarily split, she said: ‘Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.’

Admitting that the split is ‘still very hard to talk about’ she added that she is just ‘taking one day at a time.’

‘I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz,’ Brittany added.
