and her team are reportedly on the same page about getting professional help for the pop star after her DUI arrest on Wednesday night.

According to TMZ, sources familiar with the situation said Thursday that members of Spears' team hope a judge will allow the 44-year-old songstress to enter a treatment program in place of potential jail time.

Spears — who police said '' during her arrest — was also said to be willing to follow through with a treatment plan.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Spears' representatives to request comment. 

According to the publication, those close to the singer have begun exploring potential ways for her to seek treatment.

They are allegedly considering mental health and detox options, as well as dual-diagnosis programs, which are designed to treat both mental health and substance-abuse issues simultaneously.

There are still more details to be ironed out, including whether Spears might gravitate toward inpatient or outpatient treatment options.

Sources also said it's still unclear if Spear would try to enter a treatment program prior to her upcoming court date on May 4.  

The update on Spears's alleged treatment plans comes after police said earlier on Thursday that Spears allegedly 'showed signs of impairment' during her DUI arrest the night before.

Police confirmed that the singer was the only person in the vehicle when her car was stopped.

They added that Spears allegedly appeared to be impaired, so she was put through a variety of field sobriety tests.

Notably, the car was not driven by Spears when it was picked up. 

The latest revelations from police about the singer's arrest come after the Daily Mail obtained audio of the 911 dispatch call earlier on Thursday.

The call indicates that Spears was allegedly driving erratically on the highway, leading to a harrowing hour-long chase with police.

She was arrested around 9:30 p.m. after police allegedly observed her swerving in and out of lanes.

In the call, in which officers and dispatchers described the chase as it happened, one dispatcher could be heard saying, 'A black sedan, erratic braking, swerving and driving with no tail light.' 

An officer could also be heard requesting that 'all units' in the area be directed toward the swerving vehicle.

Officers stated that they were pursuing a '2026 black BMW convertible' before they were finally able to pull Spears over.

The pursuit began around 8:13 p.m., but it wasn't until 9:13 p.m. that officers confirmed that Spears was out of her vehicle.

During the call, one officer was heard requesting a drug recognition expert (DRE), who is trained by CHP to determine if drivers are under the influence. 

Another officer could then be heard asking for the DRE to get to the scene as quickly as possible.

Sources told TMZ that Spears was allegedly transported to a hospital for a blood draw to determine her blood alcohol content (BAC).
