Britains Coolest Royal Crowned Top Bachelor!

He may only be 50th in line to the throne but Britain's 'coolest royal', Cassius Taylor, has just taken the number one spot in a list of the country's most eligible bachelors.

The part-time DJ, who is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth's first cousin the Duke of Kent, was named after Cassius Clay (later to become ) because he was born on Boxing Day.

He recently performed at top nightclub Fabric, but only a few months ago he attended a rather different social event: the 's annual lunch at .

Back in 2001, aged four, he was escorted by the , his great-great aunt, on to the Buckingham Palace balcony to practise his royal wave for .

Now the younger son of Lady Helen Taylor and her husband Timothy Taylor, an art dealer with galleries in Mayfair and New York, has been named Britain's most dashing bachelor by Hello!

In an interview from his family's London mews house, Cassius says his name is 'my greatest gift from my parents' and that it serves as 'the ultimate ice-breaker'.

Cassius is not a working royal but has carved out a career as a music event 'curator'. His ambitions are simple: 'Meet great people, throw great parties, stay healthy,' he tells Hello!.

His passion for music began aged 12 when Lady Helen took him to see Oasis at Wembley, where he recalls his mother embarrassing him.

He says: 'I still remember being in the seats and getting awkward because my mother wouldn't stop dancing.'

The Taylors attend Glastonbury together, with Cassius making the pilgrimage for the past seven years.

It is his dream to play at Worthy Farm but he has already ticked off one goal, performing at Fabric last year for Rave To Save, a fundraiser supporting the men's suicide charity James' Place.

He says: 'I've had my struggles. And if I can help give back, then I will.'

He stopped short of agreeing to be the wedding DJ for his royal cousins Lady Marina Windsor and Lady Amelia Windsor, both of whom are getting married next year.
