Iconic Australian actor Brian Wenzel has died aged 94.
He passed away peacefully in an Adelaide nursing home, leaving behind a legacy that spans over seven decades in the entertainment industry.
He was to turn 95 on May 24 and passed away at an Adelaide nursing home.
Brian’s wife of nearly 70 years, Linda, confirmed the sad news of his passing.
‘Brian’s wife of almost 70 years, Linda, phoned this morning to relay the news of his passing, saying he died peacefully,’ reported Woman’s Day.

Wenzel became a household name in Australia through his portrayal of the upright Sgt Frank Gilroy on A Country Practice, a series that captured the hearts of viewers from 1981 to 1993.
His outstanding performance earned him a TV Week Silver Logie for Best Actor, cementing his status as one of the country’s most respected television actors.
Starting his acting career at the tender age of 17, Wenzel first graced the stage in a comedy show, setting the foundation for a distinguished career that would see him frequently cast in the roles of crims, crooks, and thugs during the 1960s and 70s in hit shows like Homicide, Division 4, and Matlock Police.
Despite his on-screen personas, off-screen, Wenzel was known for his warmth and geniality.
