On Monday, Big Brother alum Libra Thompson revealed that she had suffered a cryptogenic stroke while visiting San Antonio, TX for a conference on February 1.
The 49-year-old reality star was rushed to Methodist Hospital Metropolitan where neurologist Dr. Ewell Roach discovered the stroke was caused by patent foramen ovale (PFO) aka a small hole in her heart.
'Luckily my roommate, co-worker and friend was there,' Thompson - who boasts 9,394 social media followers - wrote on Instagram.
'I will be meeting with both a neurologist and cardiologist this week with UT physicians that specialize in PFO events for my plan of care.'
The behavior instructional coach went on to ask her friends at the Conroe School District where she works for donations to help cover the medical costs.
'I really hate asking but, pride aside, donate days would help me out tremendously!' Thompson stressed.

'I will have considerable amount of medical bills while being on an unpaid FMLA leave and I am finding out that heart surgery is some of the most expensive around!'
The Texan native concluded her health update: 'All that being said I am so blessed that I am on the other side of this and I am on the mend!'
Next Tuesday, Thompson and her husband Scott Thompson will celebrate the 18th birthdays of their twins - Halle plays volleyball for the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Cullen is playing football for Texas State University.
