has sent her fans wild by releasing her first new song in two years.

The Grammy-winning superstar, 44, unveiled the surprise track, Morning Dew (Donk), over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

It marks her first new music since the release of her critically acclaimed 2024 album Cowboy Carter.

Penned by Beyoncé alongside , The-Dream and Darius Dixon, the surprise single is accompanied by striking artwork showing the singer posing on the sand in a bikini.

Long-time members of the Beyhive will recognise the title Donk, after an unreleased track of the same name leaked online in 2013.

The original track, also written by Beyoncé, Pharrell and The-Dream, had been intended for her self-titled 2013 album but was ultimately left off the record.

The Halo hitmaker shared a sun-drenched snap of herself on the beach, posing with three lemons and a bottle of SirDavis American Rye Whisky, from her collaboration with Moet Hennessy.

'Cheers to ten years! With love and deep gratitude,'  wrote in the caption, along with a lemon and bee emoji.

Lemonade - the singer's sixth studio album - was a surprise release. The 12-track album made headlines around the world for its lyrics about infidelity and Beyonce's relationship with her husband, 56-year-old rapper Jay-Z.

It was released alongside a visual album of the same name that premiered on HBO, and showed her smashing cars with a baseball bat, and addressed themes of adultery, revenge and ultimately forgiveness.

In particular, her calling out 'Becky with the good hair' sparked a frenzy over the identity of Jay-Z's side woman.

Lemonade won Grammys for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video, along with a Peabody Award plus four Emmy nominations.

In August, the songstress achieved a major career milestone when she got one step closer to EGOT status.

Beyonce has garnered a total of 35 Grammys thus far, and recently scored her first Emmy win for Netflix's Beyonce Bowl special which aired Christmas Day last year.

The songstress concluded her Cowboy Carter Tour in July. Concerts officially kicked off in April in support of her eighth studio album of the same name.

Last December Beyonce officially reached billionaire status, cementing her place as one of the most powerful figures in modern music and joining an extraordinarily small group of artists to cross the coveted ten-figure threshold.

According to Forbes, the superstar is now one of just five musicians to achieve billionaire status, alongside her husband Jay-Z, who has an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.

The milestone came after a period of extraordinary reinvention for Beyonce, whose career continues to evolve more than two decades after she first rose to fame.

While her 2023 Renaissance World Tour was already considered a career high - grossing nearly $600 million and becoming one of the highest-earning tours in history - the following year saw her take an unexpected creative turn.

In 2024, Beyonce released Cowboy Carter, her first country album that opened new commercial doors, including a high-profile NFL Christmas Day halftime performance and what would go on to become the world's highest-grossing concert tour of 2025.

The combined impact of those ventures ultimately pushed her net worth into billionaire territory.
