Bella expounded on her fondness for animals, and how it played into her upbringing, in an Instagram post last year.

'Animals have always been everything to me; the therapy of my heart and soul,' she said in April of 2025. 'They are my safe place, and there are very few things that my dog, horses, cows can’t fix or help me reconnect back to myself. Sometimes I feel like I connect with them more than people!'

She credited her mother, Yolanda Hadid, for making sure animals were present when she and her famed siblings - Gigi, 30, and Anwar, 26 - were growing up.

'From the minute I was born, my mama surrounded us with animals,' she said. 'All of the time. It made me who I am today and the love she has had for horses and animals since she was a child gave me an unexplainable connection with them.'
