The Bear has been riveting fans for the last two years – but lately viewers have been distracted by some continuity issues afflicting the current season of the show.
Season three debuted on June 26 and already viewers have noticed a few issues that have left them scratching their head.
Fans called out a notable editing mistake that impacted Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach)’s character on the fifth episode of the show, entitled Children.
Richie had finally taken off his wedding band earlier in the season as he moved on from ex-wife Tiffany – but the band mysteriously reappeared during a phone call with Jessica (played by Sarah Ramos).
‘Love a continuity mess up. In #TheBear S3E5, when Richie is talking on the phone about Chef Terry closing her restaurant, one scene he has a wedding ring on, and after cutaway and back…no wedding ring,’ another asked.

‘The continuity of Richie’s wedding ring lmao #TheBear,’ one fan tweeted on X.
‘The lack of continuity on The Bear 3×05. No ring, ring, no ring again,’ another pointed out.
Not only that, but fans called out another plot discrepancy revolving around Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas), with her character’s backstory not aligning with what viewers had already learned about her in the show.
It comes after The Bear debuted to its highest numbers ever for its third season.
The show, which is produced by FX, racked up more than 5.4 million worldwide views in its initial four days of streaming, Hulu announced on Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The dramatic comedy, which received strong feedback on social media following the debut of season three, had its best numbers since its debut in 2022 when it began streaming on Hulu June 27.
The series, which was created by Christopher Storer, stars Jeremy Allen White in the role of Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto and Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu.
The cast also includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Edwin Lee Gibson, Matty Matheson, Corey Hendrix and Oliver Platt.

The 5.4 million total represents full showings of the 36-minute-long debut episode, which is titled Tomorrow, according to the outlet.
The total marks a 24 percent spike since the show’s June 2023 season two debut, which had around 4.35 million views.
It represents a highwater mark for the show over a span of four days, as well as Hulu’s most-ever for an FX season debut or scripted series, according to THR.
Hulu said that the show’s ratings were the third-highest for an original season premiere.
Outside of the U.S., the series can be seen on the Disney+ streaming service.

The series also saw a spike in ratings following a stellar showing at January’s Emmy awards.
The honors included Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for White, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Edebiri and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Moss-Bachrach.
The show was also named Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes earlier this year, with Edebiri and White winning their respective categories.
Edebiri won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy, while White won Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the high-profile award show.
The storyline of season three sees Carmy as he works to navigate the transition of his beef shop into a fine dining establishment, and his relationships with his peers.
