Carol Kirkwood has revealed she’s tied the knot with her partner Steve Randall in Buckinghamshire.
The BBC weather presenter, 61, tied the knot in Buckinghamshire on Wednesday, but first announced her nuptials to viewers during BBC Breakfast on Friday.
She said: ‘It was the most perfect and romantic and intimate wedding. We are both so incredibly happy.’
In May 2022, Carol revealed live on BBC Breakfast that she and Steve had got engaged.
The star was reporting from the Chelsea Flower Show at the time when her co-host Sally Nugent jokingly voiced some ‘concern’ for her pal after spotting a ring on her engagement finger.

The couple first announced their engagement in May 2022, with Carol proudly showing off her diamond ring at the Chelsea Flower Show
She said: ‘I’m a little bit concerned about you this morning. I don’t know how you’re managing to stand up with that giant rock on your left hand, Carol!’
Peering down at her hand, Carol replied: ‘Oh, that one? Thank you Sal! It is rather nice, I got engaged.’
Sally responded to the happy news by offering a ‘congratulations’ on behalf of the entire team, before getting permission to ‘confirm to the nation’.
She said: ‘Congratulations from all of us! It’s the happiest news, we are so, so delighted. Congratulations.
‘Can we confirm to the nation what’s happened?’
Carol – while giggling – agreed and called it ‘lovely news’.
She said: ‘Yes! I think you just have, Sal. Yes, I got engaged. We got engaged when we were on holiday. So it’s lovely news and we’re both thrilled, so thank you!’
BBC Breakfast co-host Jon Kay added: ‘We’re all thrilled, we’re all so chuffed for you Carol, on behalf of all the team here and everybody watching, I’m sure. Absolutely delighted.
‘Are you looking for a spot for the marquee while you’re at Chelsea, yeah?’
Carol replied: ‘I’m taking note of all the flowers, Jon. But no, there’s no plans in fruit yet.’
The star hasn’t revealed Steve’s last name, but recently told Prima Magazine he was ‘always making me laugh’, and she described him as ‘extremely handsome’.
Carol has previously said she and her partner have both agreed to keep their relationship private, but gushed that he is the ‘best thing that’s ever happened to me’.
Chatting with Prima Magazine in 2021, the TV star said: ‘He always makes me a cup of tea before I go to work in the morning, which is very romantic – it’s 2.45am and he often leaves me a little love note for when I come home from work. That, to me, is worth a million red roses’.
The presenter was previously married to cricket player Jimmy Kirkwood, but the pair split in 2008 after 18 years of marriage.
Carol previously spoke about her divorce in an interview with the Radio Times.
The weather presenter had married Jimmy in 1990, but parted ways in 2008. Their divorce was finalised in 2012.
‘I found myself when I got divorced. I started to do things and to think, ‘I’m not going to say no, I’m going to say yes.
‘I’m braver now. I’ve flown with the Red Arrows, jumped out of planes with the Red Devils.’
Following her divorce, Carol went on to star in Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 with her dance partner Pasha Kovalev, and spoke about her love life after the demise of her marriage.
‘I was married for a long time, and I got married quite young, so it’s nice doing things I have the freedom to do now, if I want to go out to the theatre or go out with friends for dinner, I’ve got that freedom.’
A year after starring on the show, Carol said she was seeing someone, stating: ‘I’m very happy in my relationship status at the moment. I’m not single. I’d just started seeing somebody, so it was ok, it didn’t matter.’
