Raelee Hill has kept a lower profile in recent years. 

On Thursday, the veteran was spotted running errands in 's Northern Beaches, blending in with the locals. 

The Water Rats and Neighbours star cut a low-key figure in a loose, bright orange shirt and jeans

She hid her famous red curls under a brown felt hat with a black ribbon, atop which she placed her sunglasses. 

The 53-year-old completed the look with a multi-coloured wool scarf and a pair of sneakers. 

Raelee went makeup-free for the outing, letting her natural beauty shine, while wearing her locks in a loose plait.

The star appeared to be in the middle of a creative project, as she was carrying a laptop and a roll of green cardboard. 

Raelee made her name as a soap star, with her career kicking off with the role of Loretta Taylor on Paradise Beach from 1993 to 1994.

The actress rose to fame on Aussie soap Neighbours, where she played the free-spirited Serendipity Gottlieb. 

She joined the iconic series in 1994, after being spotted by a casting director in a café. 

After leaving Neighbours in 1995, Raelee joined the police drama Water Rats as rookie officer Tayler Johnson.

Raelee stayed on the show until 2000, before expanding her horizons into the science fiction realm.

Between 2002 and 2004, she appeared in the role of Sikozu in the Australian-American series Farscape. 

Raelee went on to land roles in Superman Returns in 2006 and Long Road to Heaven in 2007.

After leaving Neighbours in 1995, Raelee joined the police drama Water Rats as rookie officer Tayler Johnson (pictured) 

back in 2008. 

'I could say it's the moment you step out on stage and a hundred lights hit you and it feels like you've been kissed by a thousand sunrises all in an instant,' she said of her favourite moments as an actress. 

'Or I could say it's the moment you do something completely out of your own world, like flying or fighting or falling, something that's completely extraordinary that people just don't get to do in their normal lives, and the adrenaline rush is supreme.'
