Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s son Bronx turned 16-years-old on November 20.
His proud mom, 40, shared a gallery of images from his life on her Instagram in honor of the milestone birthday and called him the ‘greatest joy’ of her life.
In the first image, Bronx absolutely towers over his 5ft7in tall mother as Ashlee lays her head on her first born’s shoulder.
‘Being your mom has been the greatest joy of my life. You are my rock my soul. My ride or die. You have been the greatest blessing in life that I could have ever dreamed of,’ her caption began.
‘I would not be me without you. Thank you for choosing me to be a mom, and YOUR mom. You are so calm, consistent, brilliant, loving, kind hearted, thoughtful, funny, mysterious, and incredibly awesome’.
Ashlee shares Bronx with her first husband, Fall Out Boy’s singer Pete Wentz, 45, whom she was married to from 2008 to 2011.

It is not clear what song the Pieces of Me singer was talking about as her post was not set to music.
Earlier this month a reporter for TMZ asked Ashlee about the rumors about her sister Jessica Simpson’s, 44, split from husband Eric Johnson while she was having dinner at Beverly Hills’ Mr. Chow with Evan.
The reporter asked her, ‘Is it true? Do you know?’ with Ashlee responding: ‘No.’
Recently, TMZ reported that ‘two people directly connected to Jessica’ had contacted divorce attorneys.
‘Late last month, someone close to Jessica went to a Los Angeles divorce attorney and said Jessica was unhappy in her marriage and wanted to arrange a meeting with the attorney and Simpson,’ TMZ reported.
