The legendary Bay Area rapper, 58, extended his condolences and sent his love to Lil Jon after his son Nathan Smith died at the age of 27.
Just two days earlier, Lil Jon, 55, shared a devastating announcement that his son's body was recovered from a Georgia pond after he was missing for days.
E-40 affectionately referred to Lil Jon's son Nathan, who went by the stage name of DJ Young Slade, as his 'nephew' and said he was 'going to miss' him.
E-40 was attending the Fanatics party in San Francisco when he recalled the last time he saw Lil Jon and his son Nathan, sending a sincere message to their family during the difficult time.
'We were just on Family Feud together, all of us,' he said about how he and Lil Jon had appeared on the game show last year alongside their respective family members, per TMZ.

Their reunion several months earlier came amid a years-long friendship after they collaborated on their early 2000 hit song, Snap Yo Fingers, alongside Sean Paul of Youngbloodz.
'Lil Jon, anything you need that I can provide, I'm here for you,' E-40 said as he directly addressed the fellow rapper.
'I love you, and you know that, brother. And we're going to miss nephew.'

Nathan was pronounced dead on Friday afternoon at age 27 after he went missing from his home in Milton, Georgia.
Authorities recovered his body from a pond near his residence at 11:53 a.m. on Thursday, February 6 during their search.
An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of the young musician's death.
Lil Jon is a father of two with Nathan as his eldest son; he is also father to a younger daughter named Nahara, whom Lil Jon welcomed in 2024 with his girlfriend Jamila Sozahdah.
Lil Jon and his now-estranged wife Nicole Smith welcomed their son Nathan together in 1998.

Nathan was a DJ and producer who studied at NYU and followed in his father's footsteps in the music industry.
In a statement Lil Jon shared with USA Today after confirming the death of his son, he said that he and Nathan's mother are 'extremely heartbroken' and 'devastated.'
The former couple asked for privacy during their time of grief. In his statement, the rapper paid an emotional tribute to his beloved son.

'Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet,' he said. 'He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate, and warmhearted.'
He added, writing: 'He loved his family and the friends in his life to the fullest. He was an amazingly talented young man; a music producer, an artist and engineer, and graduate of NYU.'
'We loved Nathan with all of our hearts and are incredibly proud of him,' the statement continued.
'He was loved and appreciated, and in our last times together we're comforted in knowing that we expressed that very sentiment to him. Thank you for all of the prayers and support in trying to locate him over the last several days.'
Lil Jon also wrote in an Instagram post he shared on Friday about his heartbreak.

'This hurts so bad. I love you son,' he captioned a reel of throwback photos of him with his son over the years.
Nathan's last social media post was on Instagram on January 6 when he shared a photo of him posing with his manager Lil Will and rapper Bow Wow at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
The Milton Police Department also shared a statement after divers located and retrieved his body.

'Based on the investigation to date, there is no indication of foul play,' the police said as they added that they will continue to treat the case 'as an open and active investigation.'
'No further details will be released until the official cause and manner of death are determined by the Fulton County Medical Examiner and all investigative leads have been thoroughly examined.'
