Kelsea Ballerini has officially split from Chase Stokes for the third time - just a little over a month after the pair seemingly confirmed they were back on.

The 32-year-old country singer - who walked the 2026 Grammys red carpet solo over the past weekend - notably had a surprise hangout with the actor's ex Madelyn Cline only days earlier.
Sources told TMZ in an article published on Friday that their romance had simply 'run its course.'
And despite Ballerini and Stokes' most recent reunion, the two stars decided to call it quits once again. However, an exact reasoning for the latest breakup is not yet known.
Earlier this week on Monday, Cline - who dated Stokes from 2020 until 2021 - jumped to her Instagram stories to share a selfie with the Cowboys Cry Too songstress.
In the snap, both of their faces were partially concealed as they stood close together while sharing a laugh.

Both Ballerini and Cline had their hair swept up into messy buns during the lighthearted moment.
The songstress and Outer Banks actor were first linked in late 2022 and were soon spotted together in January 2023 at a college football at SoFi Stadium in L.A.
Three months later, the pair made their red carpet debut as a couple while attending the CMT Awards.

Last year in April 2025, Ballerini had opened up about their relationship at the time during an interview with People, stating that Stokes was a 'new kind of love.'
'Now my version of love that I've found, it's steady and it's human, and we work on it. That, to me, honestly, is the sexiest thing, like, "Hey, you want to go to therapy? Let's go to therapy."'
The performer added, 'Being so down with your person to put in the work for each other and individually, it's a very new kind of love for me.'
But months later in September, it was revealed that Ballerini and Stokes split for the first time after three years together.
'They're two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn't. It happens,' a source had told People.

Along with sharing Instagram photos of both him and the songstress, the Outer Banks actor wrote, 'Something I've learned this year: don't take advantage of the most beautiful things that in 33 years of life are fleeting.
'Take accountability, learn from mistakes. Lean into love and say it often. 2026 my year of growth, my year of truth. Starting here, starting now. Happy new years ❤️.'
Ballerini also took to her Instagram stories and wrote, 'messy year for the heart, messy year for the outside coming in, messy year for the way it became an out of our hands portrayal of it.
'But what I'll say, and all I really care to share indefinitely with my personal life anymore, is that I really love love.'

And with Ballerini and Cline's reunion this week, it seemingly proves that there are no hard feelings between the pair.
