The pair split in late May 2024, just nine weeks after they welcomed their baby daughter Gia, and appeared to have a working co-parenting relationship.
But it would seem their uneasy alliance for the sake of their daughter has begun to fall apart, after Simone, 33, slammed the celebrity trainer on Instagram.
The model uploaded a video to her grid which saw her dancing around her living room as she cradled their toddler in her arms and put a middle finger up.
'My purely hypothetical, calm reaction when my BD [baby daddy] rocks up 45 minutes late to his supervised visit,' she wrote over the top of the clip.

Simone Holtznagel, 33, and Jono Castano, 35, have had a very public bust-up online after the model launched a scathing attack against her ex late on Friday night
'[Arriving] in his new girlfriend's car, being driven by his current wife - because neither of them own a vehicle,' she wrote.
'This is the same "celebrity trainer" who hasn't had a consistent licence in four years and only just discovered paying more than $40 a week in child support is a thing.
'And then, has the audacity to ask if I'm pregnant because I 'have a tummy'. The confidence. The delusion. The absolute lack of self-awareness.'
On Saturday morning, hours after Simone made the post, Jono, 35, shared his own rebuttal video to Instagram.

He began by telling followers Simone's post was full of 'lies', before showing bank transactions that showed him sending his ex almost $8,500 since December.
However, he went on to admit in the comments that up until December 8, he had only been paying $45 because they 'couldn't agree' on an amount for child support.
'She wanted an insane amount not even I could afford. I've agreed to pay education, hospital and so many other things,' he told one follower in the comments.
Jono went on to say in his video: 'I love my daughter and would do absolutely anything for her.'

'So when someone says I'm only paying $40 and I know I'm not, these are all the payments made.'
The personal trainer then shared the bank transactions, showing he paid Simone $2,742.60 on December 8 and $2,834 on January 1.
'On top of that [she] took me to court. I've paid over $100,000 on court fees when it could've went to my daughter's education,' he claimed.
He alleged that Simone also demanded in the courts that Jono pay her $80,000 'because she dated me for a year and eight months'.
'That money wasn't going to go to my daughter or this money right here and today I've actually got to make a payment,' he continued.

Jono revealed he has been receiving death threats since Simone posted her video slamming him, adding that her post was immature.
'This is what could break guys. Lucky for me, I'm a strong individual, I'm doing the right things for my daughter, I want to be the best father,' he said.
'For guys who have gone through this and haven't been able to have the platform that I have to fix things and show things, I feel for you guys. I feel for my daughter.'

'This has really caused a lot of pain for me this morning... I'm working hard to make those payments for my daughter because I want a future for her.'

Jono went on to share a clip he filmed during the supervised visit he showed up late to, which saw him arguing with Simone while their daughter sat in the car.
'You told me you'd be here at 4:15pm,' Simone could be heard saying in an angry tone, before Jono pointed out she had been late in the past.
'There was that time you were saying you got stuck in traffic,' he said, to which she responded: 'Oh one time and I asked you to stay longer.'
'Was I not in traffic?' Jono said.
'Get away from my face you f***ing animal,' Simone hit back, with her ex then asking: 'What's wrong with you? I'm trying to see my daughter.'

Simone and Jono continue to argue back and forth, with the model saying she had waited 40 minutes while the trainer said he 'can't control traffic'.
'You know how long things take... I know you're f***ing r***rded,' Simone hit back.

Jono went on to point out she was forcing him to travel a lengthy distance to see his daughter Gia in Watsons Bay despite the fact she 'lives down the road' from him.
Simone then threatened to leave, with Jono asking her to stay so he could see his daughter.
'You've been 40 minutes late. I have a f***ing schedule,' she hit back.
Jono proceeded to tell Simone to move away from the back car door she was blocking so he could open it and see Gia.
Simone eventually relented, but insisted she would return to pick her up at 5pm.

Jono also shared a screenshot of a text exchange between himself and Simone, in which he informed her he would be late.
'Maybe you should take traffic into account when you tell someone you'll be there at 4:15pm,' Simone texted back, to which Jono responded: 'Lol ok traffic control.'
Jono ended his video by sharing another bank transaction which showed him sending Simone another $2,834.02 in child support on Saturday amid their online feud.
The former couple first started dating in 2022, months after Jono confirmed his split from his ex-wife Amy Castano
'This isn't about money. This is about me wanting to spend time with my daughter,' he said.

'If it's an hour or two hours, I am desperately wanting to see my daughter as much as I can.'
When Daily Mail approached Jono for comment, he said: 'I'm just disappointed. I'm a very private person. None of this should have ever been spoken about.
'It's dangerous. I'm just disappointed. I was ready to stay quiet my whole life. I just continue doing my thing. To let it get to that level, I'm just disappointed.
'I don't want to comment on this. I just needed to defend myself. That's it to be honest.'
Daily Mail also approached Simone, but her representatives informed us she will not be commenting further on the matter.
