At the time, the mom of two posted a carousel from her family's Christmas celebration, and included snapshots of the new red motor vehicle she purchased for her 17-year-old.
TMZ later revealed the manufacturers of the Polaris RZR 170 restricted anyone under age 10 from operating the vehicle, meaning it was illegal for Spears to have gifted the vehicle to her daughter at the time.
Jamie Lynn's latest post comes after her sister Britney claimed she is 'scared' of her family and 'lucky to be alive' in a bombshell new social media post.
The pop superstar, 44, lashed out at her family once again, four years after she was liberated from her 13-year conservatorship, which was primarily controlled by her father Jamie Spears, 73.
The toxic hitmaker claimed that her relatives will 'never take responsibility' as she slammed them for 'isolating' her.

At the end of her post, Spears detailed her latest health blow, stating she hasn't been able to dance because she broke her toe 'twice', four months after she sustained a 'horrible' leg injury.
She started her caption writing, 'As people, all we really want is to feel connected to each other and never feel alone … for those of you in your family that have said to help you is to isolate you and make you feel unbelievably left out … they were wrong.'
'We can forgive as people but u don't ever forget. Yearning and longing for contact is always crucial !!!' she went on.

She wrapped up her caption explaining to fans why she hasn't been able to share any of her signature dancing videos lately.

'PS I haven't danced in a month because I broke my toe twice!'
However earlier in the day she did manage to repost an older video of her dancing in a skimpy red and white bikini.
She narrowly avoided an 'oops' moment as her tiny bikini top began to slide, forcing her to censor the clip with strategically placed flower emojis to stay within Instagram's community guidelines.
'Repost I forgot I took it down!!!!! OOPS !!!' she wrote in the caption.

Over Christmas, Britney shared a scathing message seemingly directed at her family, after her younger sister Jamie Lynn, 34, posted a holiday snap with Britney's older son Sean Preston, 20.
On December 25, Jamie Lynn shared an Instagram carousel featuring a photo of Preston alongside her daughters, Maddie, 17, and Ivey, 7, her husband Jamie Watson, and her mom, Lynne, 70, celebrating the holidays at her Louisiana home.
The snaps also included the family posing in front of a large Christmas tree and opening presents.
The one family member that was missing from the celebrations was Britney, who took to Instagram three days later with a post that appeared to sarcastically reference her family's gathering.

In her memoir, The Woman In Me, the singer wrote that the conservatorship sapped her of much of her creative talent
'I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me,' she wrote; seen in Las Vegas in 2016
'Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can't fix…,' the singer wrote under an image of a decorated holiday tree.
'To my dear sweet innocent family... so so sorry I was busy this Christmas but I will definitely show up and surprise you soon... I can't wait.'
In her memoir The Woman In Me the singer wrote that the conservatorship sapped her of much of her creative talent.

'The conservatorship stripped me of my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person onstage,' she continued. 'I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me.'
Britney described feeling 'like a shadow of myself' after losing her independence, and she went on to share how she struggled with rapid shifts in her personality due to the psychic tumult of the conservatorship.'
On November 12, 2021, Britney celebrated 'the best day ever' when a judge called an end to her controversial conservatorship, as fans wept for joy outside the courtroom and her father Jamie's reputation appeared in ruins as the villian who had controlled every element of her life for 14 years.
Jamie insisted his control of Britney's finances, career and personal liberties was to protect her wellbeing, yet his daughter claimed it was 'abusive' and likened her situation to being a 'sex trafficking victim'.
After detailing how she was made to work against her will, forced into taking birth control and had no control over seeing her sons or friends, fans launched a #FreeBritney campaign, and rejoiced in their idol's eventual emancipation.

Jamie has insisted he still loves his daughter, but their relationship has never been repaired.
At the ended of 2023, he had his right leg amputated above the knee after he was struck down by a bacterial infection that landed him in hospital and nearly cost him his life.
For years fans championed the #FreeBritney campaign and openly wept openly outside the courtroom it was terminated in 2021 (pictured: #FreeBritney rally in 2021)
In 2024, the pair finally reached a settlement over lingering issues concerning the end of the conservatorship and Britney was ordered to pay her father's $2 million legal bills.
Clearly unhappy with the outcome that saw her fail to hold her father accountable for the 'hurt' she alleges he inflicted on her over the years, Britney took to Instagram in the aftermath of the settlement, saying: 'My family hurt me! There has been no justice and probably never will be!'

However, Jamie seemingly took it as a sign that his actions had been justified.
In a statement, his lawyer said: He has only ever wanted what is best for Britney, whom he loves very much. Jamie’s work as conservator has ultimately been vindicated and the world knows how hard he worked to protect her.'
