Helen opened up about the 'confusion she felt over her sexuality' while starring on Celebs Go Dating.
She revealed how she discussed her thoughts during her appearance on the show but later asked TV bosses to cut the scenes.
In one chapter she writes about the panic she felt while filming the reality show in 2024, as she worried that her 'mum would be let down' about her discussion on her sexuality.

Helen explained: 'The thought of this footage going out on national telly got me really depressed, like I’d massively let her down as a daughter.
'Thankfully, the producers at the show were understanding and they agreed to edit those scenes alongside me, something they did with great care, removing the parts completely where I opened up about my sexuality.'
During her stint on Celeb's Go Dating Helen cause a stir when she confessed to having a boyfriend 'back at home'.
She faced being axed from the series for lying about her secret relationship with Robbie Talbot and ‘wasting everyone’s time’.
Helen told her shocked celebrity castmates and the show's experts: 'I think I am in love with him.'
After her confession, love guru Paul Brunson said in a confessional: 'Helen has not only wasted our time, but all of the dates' time.
'We need to hear the full truth of why she has kept this from us. And if we are not happy with her response, it is time for her to leave the agency.'
Back at the office, Helen said: 'I know I can't date but I would like to maybe stay in the agency and still have a bit of maybe therapy. For myself.'

She went on to date former non-league footballer Robbie, 45, following her split from her ex fiance Scott Sinclair, 36, in 2022, with whom she shares three children, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and son Charlie, four.
Helen and Robbie split in May 2025, one year after they went official with their relationship.
Helen also revealed in her memoir that she had a near romance with TOWIE star James Argent as she recalled a moment of 'heat' between them in bed.
She starred alongside Arg, as well as celebrity chefs Rusty Lee and John Burton-Race, Shameless actor Jody Latham and Most Haunted's Yvette Fielding, in the 2013 reality show Celebrity Super Spa.
The actress and reality star got close while on the show, with rumours of a romance swirling at the time.
Now Helen has recalled a 'weird' moment in a hotel room where she and Arg nearly got intimate with each other, admitting she liked him 'a lot'.
However she added that she thought Arg liked her more than she liked him - and insisted he wasn't her type as he ate Greggs sausage rolls for breakfast.
Helen said she knew producers on the show were hoping for a romance between the pair, and would try and convince her they would make a good couple.

Speaking in the memoir Helen said: 'I was too mixed up over Scott and I didn't even know if I actually fancied Arg although I did like him a lot.
'He definitely wasn't my usual type - I usually went for sporty guys who were into their health and fitness whereas Arg would eat four Greggs sausage rolls for breakfast. I think he was probably more into me than I was him, but there was a brief moment of heat between us which felt… weird.
'We were in my hotel room, lying on the bed while he was stroking my back – I think it could have spilled over then, but there was something holding me back. And when that moment passed, it was like it was done.'
