Ant Anstead Celebrates Five Years with Renee Zellweger

wished his girlfriend , 56, a happy five year anniversary of dating on Friday.

The 47-year-old TV star took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone while sharing a rare photo of them together.

'How it started….. Happy FIVE YEAR anniversary my beautiful lady! Hands down The best human I know! Luckiest boy! I love you my Ren ❤️ x,' read his caption.

The couple first crossed paths on set of Celebrity IOU: Joyride in 2021 and began dating that same year. 

Anstead has opened up about why the two stars choose to keep their relationship mainly out of the spotlight. 

'Renee and my relationship is something that's really private,' he explained to People. 

'It's something I'm not really willing to talk too much about. It's really early in our relationship and I don't want to put any pressure on that.' 

Zellweger and Anstead went Instagram official soon after as he uploaded a black and white snap as they cozied up together. 

In 2024 the British-born TV presenter revealed that he sometimes forgets that his girlfriend is famous. 

'I mean, ultimately, it is microscopically examined, I'm sure, but I don't really think about that,' he explained on the Jeremy Vine On 5 show, per People. 

Anstead further explained, 'She's so incredibly normal and I often forget that she's famous.'

Last year the actress offered rare insight into her romance with Anstead in a joint interview with Hugh Grant for British Vogue. 

'I live in Southern California, near San Diego. Because that's where my fellow lives, and his little boy,' she expressed. 

Anstead He is also father to two older children Amelia, 21, and Archie, 18, from a previous marriage to ex Louise. 

In 2025 heand told Hello! Magazine: 'One of the many, many things that attracts me to Ren is that she's a hands-on car girl.'

He the reflected on the pair meeting on Celebrity IOU: Joyride and added, 'It's really cool that we met on a car show. She welded – I mean, how cool is that?'

The TV personality then shared that the actress has also offered a hand.

'She's been a big influence on that; she's very, very good at designing. So, I'm obviously going to take advice from the person who's way better at houses than I am.' 

Anstead sweetly added, 'I am constantly being advised, because she's the greatest human I've ever met.'
