At the time, the self-proclaimed 'Grannabel' said she was 'besotted' with her first grandchild, calling him 'completely adorable'.

She had previously described the birth as a 'positive thing to look forward to', adding: 'I love babies - they're so full of personality, and because everything is new to them they re-engage you with the world in a very simplistic way.'

Honour's pregnancy announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from friends and family besides Annabel. Charlie's sister Lily Saffron Coleman, a TV presenter, wrote: 'Stunnnningggg' alongside a string of heart and pregnancy emojis.

Call the Midwife star Nell Hudson, 35, who gave birth to her first child last year, commented with three red heart emojis.

Before Charlie and Honour's wedding last year, the bride said she and her mother wanted the celebration to be 'more Kate Moss than Kate Middleton', and the day delivered on that promise.

The families gathered for a church ceremony at which Annabel dazzled in a floral gown with a feather-adorned fascinator, before the couple drove off in a vintage Land Rover adorned with a 'just married' sign - and, in a charming nod to the groom's mother, a set of tennis rackets trailing from the back.

The reception at Honour's family home in Hampshire featured dinner under an ivy-strewn pavilion, and Charlie reportedly performed his wedding dance to You're the One that I Want from Grease, while Annabel was spotted crowd surfing with her new daughter-in-law.

Honour's engagement ring was a showstopper befitting her family heritage - an ashoka cut diamond exclusive to Boodles, the iconic British jewellery brand her family runs.
