Andy Cohen hit back at ‘lying’ Jen Shah after she denied that she gave Heather Gay a black eye and called him ‘butt hurt’ over an interview snub.
The executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise, 55, addressed Shah’s, 50, claims on Wednesday’s episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live.
After Gay’s bombshell claim on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 finale, Shah — who is currently in prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud — took to her Instagram Story to refute the claim, saying if she had punched Gay, there would be footage of it.
However, Cohen said that the network did not have footage of the alleged altercation, but that it doesn’t mean the incident didn’t happen.
‘I don’t want to be Captain Obvious here, but if we had footage, don’t you think we would have aired it?’ he asked.

Shah said if she had punched Gay, there would be footage of it; Heather seen with a black eye on season 3
‘Don’t you think we would have [shown] Heather saying, “I don’t know how I got the black eye” and then don’t you think we would have cut to the footage with a Chiron that said, “Four hours earlier?”‘
The response came after Shah asserted that Bravo ‘would have footage to prove it’ if she had ‘punched Heather in her eye.’
Cohen — who was recently scammed by a fraudster — added, ‘As someone who was just the victim of an online and phone scam where I lost a lot of money, this message comes at an interesting time.’
‘I just need to predicate that I’m a current victim of fraud, which is what she is in jail for,’ he went on.
‘I’m not connecting her, I’m not saying that she’s responsible for it, but I’m just saying it’s ironic.’
Cohen also reacted to Shah’s comment that he was ‘still butt hurt’ she ‘turned down’ his request to do an interview with her.
‘I had forgotten about the one-on-one with Jen. She is right, I did want to do a one-on-one with her. I don’t care about it anymore. I’m over it. Her stipulations were insane,’ he shared,
‘She wanted us to do a docuseries of her days leading up to jail. She wanted a lot of money, and she was still professing her innocence, so it would’ve been another interview of her sitting across from me lying to my face, which we got at two reunions from her, so that’s that.’

On Tuesday Shah posted from prison to deny the accusation that she was responsible for the black eye that Heather, 49, suffered during a season three group trip to San Diego.
‘Bravo, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it. It’s clear the show can’t live without me since I was brought up at the beginning, middle and end of season 4,’ Jen posted for her roughly 234,000 followers.
‘Andy is still butt hurt that I turned down his 1:1 interview. Why would you sit down with someone who “gave” another cast member a black eye? Next story,’ she added referencing Cohen.
Heather, during the season four finale titled ‘Mysteries, Revealed?’, accused show newcomer Monica Garcia, 40, of being online troll Reality Von Tease and while admonishing her revealed that Jen was responsible for her black eye.
Heather during a group dinner on day four of the group trip to Bermuda to celebrate Monica’s birthday blasted her for taking advantage of their friendship.
‘There’s something that you missed out on. We are friends and we have been through this bulls*** before with Jen,’ Heather said referencing former cast member Shah, who is currently serving a 6 1/2 -year federal prison sentence after pleading guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
‘For years, we were afraid we’d wake up sick, that a lie would be posted and told and spread and exposed and exploited, but we were in it with her. And we are the type of girls that ride or die. And each one of us, at different times, rode hard, and we shut down feelings of doubt and things that didn’t f***ing add up. Who you are made no sense, but the way you acted was strangely familiar,’ Heather said.
‘And the pain that we went through and the way we were tormented and tortured. I ate s*** every day for her. I felt like I had to lie to protect her. I did whatever it took. I went on book tour and defended her and took s*** for the fact …that she gave me a black eye,’ Heather revealed.

‘What?,’ Meredith Marks, 51, exclaimed.
‘Whoa,’ said Lisa Barlow, 49. ‘Whoa.’
The episode then flashed back to the season three trip to San Diego in which Heather suffered a black eye after a late night with Jen.
Heather the next morning revealed her black eye to Meredith who asked when it happened.
‘That’s what we don’t know,’ Jen chimed in as Heather insisted that she had no recollection of what happened.
After a wild night in San Diego, Heather at 3:28 am turned off the lights in her room, and at 4:50am answered a knock on her door.
‘What time is it?,’ she asked as she opened the door before the footage abruptly ended.
Seven hours later, a text message was shown of Heather asking Meredith to come to her room immediately.
Meredith in her pajamas walked in at 11:34 am and was greeted by Heather wearing sunglasses and Jen.
‘What’s wrong?,’ Meredith asked.
Heather then removed her sunglasses showing a fresh black eye and pointed to bruises and scratches on her arm.
Meredith’s jaw dropped and she covered her mouth in shock and asked when it happened.
Jen pleaded guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and is shown in January 2023 in New York City after receiving a federal prison sentence of 6 1/2 years; seen leaving a Manhattan federal court in 2023
Heather stuck to her story with Meredith and during the show’s reunion insisted that she was too drunk to remember what happened.
Back in Bermuda, Monica congratulated Heather for speaking up.
‘Well, I’m gladly you finally told the truth for once. So good for you,’ Monica said.
‘I had to ride hard for her, and I had to lie for her. We’re not gonna do it again with you. Pack your backs and go,’ Heather said.
‘I more than anyone know that nothing stays in the dark and everything comes to light. I knew this information would come out. Even Gossip Girl couldn’t stay Gossip Girl forever,’ Monica said in a confessional.
The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City will return next Tuesday on Bravo for the first of three reunion episodes.
