While her eldest children Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, contributed and even appeared in the show, they have now admitted the strain it had on them.
The siblings made the candid comments in the first episode from the third series of The Princess Diaries, which features Katie, after executives overturned her ban.
In one clip, Princess said: ‘The new documentary put us in an awkward position.
‘We love both our parents and want to be there for them.’

Later in the episode, they call Katie when she is in Dubai visiting her husband Lee Andrews.
Despite Lee saying he has , Princess tells the camera: ‘I’ve never met him, mums love life stories are extreme and I don’t even follow it myself.
‘As long as she is happy then I’m happy.’
Katie then got her boobs out during the FaceTime call, showing them the results of her latest surgery.
Princess says: ‘Am I shocked? No.'
Elsewhere, they then take Katie camping for her birthday - at the same time her Instagram account was suspended by Meta.

Frustrated, Katie tells them: ‘My Instagram was suspended but I’m getting in back, people complain about anything.
‘You know what it is like in my life one thing after the other.’
Junior interjects: 'Mum will be the moment until she can’t do anything anymore
'I always said I wanted to be a famous model or pop start. Money doesn’t bring you happiness the people around you bring you happiness,' Katie replies.

‘I hate the word famous but if I went in a club I would always get attention and I loved it and I wanted more and I still want more. I want to be worldwide. I’m an exhibitionist and I love it but I also love being at home.’

Katie went off the rails following the collapse of her marriage to third husband Kieran Hayler, spiralling into depression and developing a cocaine addiction.
At the time Junior and Princess were just 13 and 10 respectively and as they explained how they began to start fending for themselves and their younger siblings Jett and Bunny, then four and three, they broke down in tears.
