Andie MacDowell was every inch the proud mother as she supported her filmstar daughter Margaret Qualley at the premiere of her new movie, Drive Away Dolls, in New York on Tuesday night.

The actress, 65, planted a sweet kiss on her smiling daughter’s cheek as they posed for pictures together.

Dressed head to toe in black, Andie, 65, looked sensational as she joined her family at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater ahead of a screening of the comedy film.

The Four Weddings And A Funeral star donned a black turtleneck floor-length dress with elegantly long sleeves and a skinny white belt.

She accessorised her chic look with a pair of circle-shaped diamond-encrusted earrings and a simple silver over-the-shoulder bag.

Stepping in her mother’s shoes and stealing the show, Margaret looked incredible as she donned a classy lacy number for her premiere.

Margaret, 29 – who is married to Taylor Swift’s longtime collaborator, Jack Antonoff- looked elegant in her sleeveless dress which featured sparkly crystal accents.

Her dazzling sheer dress was worn over a nude bra and black high-waisted underwear.

Margaret, who was seen grinning for most of the evening cut a trendy figure as she finished her outfit with a simple black bow tied into her thick brunette locks.

Choosing to be sensible, the actress opted for a night of comfort as she finished off her red-carpet ensemble with a pair of black flat pumps with bow detailing.

To accessorise, she wore sizeable diamond bow earrings.

Also supporting Margaret’s night was Mr Deeds star John Turturro, who was spotted sporting a casual look for the event.

The independent film star, 66, donned a grey jumper, rainbow skinny scarf and a denim jacket for the occasion.

Drive Away Dolls follows two young women, Jamie (Qualley), an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend, Marian (Viswanathan), who desperately needs to loosen up.

In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee. 

But the trip takes a turn when the ladies cross paths with a group of inept criminals, as per IMDb.

It’s the latest project for director/producer Ethan Coen, who is known for Fargo (1996) and No Country for Old Men (2007).

It is his film directing debut without the involvement of his brother, Joel Coen, who is know for The Big Lebowski
